        A:  Hello, Thanks for your question! This is a 2 pound bag, containing 192 cubic inches of wood chips. A 5' x 2.5' x 1' box would contain 17,712 cubic inches of space, requiring 92.25 bags to fill it to capacity. To cover the surface of the box in a single layer of wood chips, you'd require around 7.68 bags. Thanks!

          A:  Sis I'm guessing you will need at least 15 of these bags to put an inches of cover in your box. So for a foot of depth, perhaps a hundred fifty of them would do it. These bags are sized for the guy with for a small home BBQ or smoker I used almost all of two bags of them smoking one pork shoulder butt. in the Dyna Glo smoker on my deck.

          Plastic strands contaminating chips
          I bought several bags of the Weber apple smoking chips, and the first bag I opened is contaminated with plastic strands. I didn't notice until the second load of chips went into my smoker and I noticed black hair-like plastic melted to the chip loader. Really, Weber?
