There is a 189 sq. in. grilling surface across two cast iron grates.
Thermometer on lid shows temperatures up to 600 degrees F.
The removable pan captures grease, meat juices and rendered fat.
A low-luster vibrant red joins the rainbow of colored lids on the Weber Q 1200. In 2015 the lids on this model, previously available in cream-colored titanium, debuted in wide range of fun hues - blue, green, orange, purple, fuchsia, plus classic black. Loving our Weber in Mexico
We used a Weber 1200Q last year for 3 months at a 1BR condo we rented in Puerto Vallarta, MX. We are renting a 2BR this year for 3 months so I purchased my own grill at the Weber store just north of Puerto Vallarta. We are moving to a 4BR condo next year and even though this new condo has a large grill, I’m sure we’ll use the Weber Grill there most times too!

Weber Q1200 portable grill
First of all it’s Weber, which is excellent quality! It’s the perfect size, and I love that I was able to pick out a lime green dome. I love the portability, and that it’s lightweight. The grill heats up quickly and cooks my burgers or whatever perfectly. Thank you Weber. 😄🍔

Maintains Temperature with Even Cooking: Foolproof
Excellent choice. Always have had a natural gas grill, and where I live now there's no natural gas. Wanted to try charcoal, but for everyday grilling, that is messy and tedious. I like the simplicity of the Q1200. I let it warm up for 15 minutes. Then experiment each time to find the right time to remove the food. I say experiment because its been at least 10 years since I used a gas grill. I am getting good at cooking burgers, but steaks are a challenge, however I will succeed. The Q1200 is really great at regulating the temperature, so the challenge is just based on my experience and skills. I say if I can master the timing of the grilling, then anyone can. I like that the Q1200 is lightweight, and can be transported if desired. If you are looking for a capable grill that can handle whatever you want to grill, the Q1200 is a perfect choice!

Perfect little camping grill
We purchased this grill to replace a grill that came with our camper and used it on a one week trip. It is perfect. The Weber material is top notch, especially the grates. They are super easy to clean. The bbq is light so it’s easy to carry and it fits easily into a variety of places. I really like the side shelves for extra space for your utensils, spices or condiments. We have a griddle that fit perfect on the grill so were able to use the bbq for more than just grilling. The bbq is also very easy to start. Starts instantly. We love our grill.

STEAK
MY FRIEND HAD ONE, AND I WAS SURPRISED HOW WELL IT BROWN, OR SEARED MEAT, ESPECIALLY A STEAK, BECAUSE I LIKE MINE RARE. I TRIED NUMEROUS TIMES ON MY BIG GAS GRILL AND COULD NOT ACCOMPLISH THE BROWNING WITHOUT COOKING IT TOO LONG. I CAN PUT IT ON FOR 21/2 MIN PER SIDE FOR A 3/4 TO 1 INCH STEAK AND IT COMES OUT PERFECT. I PREHEAT ON HIGH TO 400, THEN PUT IT ON LOW.
