        Install couldn't be easier!
I've been on the market for sound absorbing material for a while now and got the chance to try these and I'm glad I did. They are 12"x12" squares and you get 12 to a pack so you can cover exactly 12 square feet. My use case was to install behind a TV to cut down on noise in the next room. The foam itself is more dense than I would have expected but does make a noticeable difference in cutting down echos in the viewing room and cuts down on noise in the neighboring room when watching TV. Each panel is adhesive backed so install is very simple. Just peel and stick. The adhesive isn't anything crazy strong, but that's a good thing when applying to a finished wall like I am. There are several shapes of these available but I am a fan of the pyramid shape with this version and feel it does the best job absorbing the sound waves.

Give them time to expand and they work Great!
These things work great and definitely absorb more sound than the little one inch ones I bought off of a different site. The one key to these is that, because they are the three inch ones, they take a while to expand. Open them up at least a day before you want to install them. Once expanded, they attach just fine with staples or adhesive and definitely cut down on the noise in the studio.

        Simple easy dampening
Here is a proven and handy answer to acoustical dampening. Standard egg crate design comes in a vacuum sealed bag that compresses the entire package to small easily handled parcel containing twelve square feet of tiling. You will need to let these "fluff" out a bit prior to install. You will get a full inch of lift once they have rebounded from the packaging. Best way to attach is with contact cement but this is a permanent install. Use pins for a temporary install where you need reduction.

Affordable but you get what you pay for
I am not accustomed to writing negative reviews, but these sound panels are low quality. I will say they are affordable and for the price, you get 12 of the 12x12 panels. The main problem with these is that after shipping, they do not return well to their intended form. On the wall they look gnarly and unappealing. The description says that they are 3 inches thick, and while there are a few that have "popped" out to three inches. The vast majority of these did not. Some are only 1-1/2 inches with thickness ranging from 1-1/2 to 3 inches for the others. This leads me to believe that this is a quality problem with the foam. Another challenge is mounting them to the wall. There were no instructions on how to mount these. I assume caulk or liquid nails but that could be risky and cause wall damage. I did use a staple gun and they worked well for the installation. Because of the way these panels did not return to form, there were gaps between panels after installation. We used these to go in in front of our kick drum in our drum cage. It does seem to help with the sound of the drum cage and mics. If you are looking for an affordable sound panel, perhaps you will have better luck than I did. I realize that there are times, when there is just a bad batch.

        Perfect for bathroom wall soundproofing
I used the acoustic soundproofing panels instead of regular insulation to fill a small wall between my new bathroom and bedroom. These panels are non-toxic and safe to handle compared to your regular insulation. I did not have to wear gloves. I used some construction spray on adhesive to stick to the inside of the wall. The panels are very light weight and so easy to handle and apply. The panels are also odorless and flame retardant so no need to wear a mask either. Once I filled the small wall with the panels, I used tongue and groove boards to cover to match the rest of my knotty pine walls. We noticed an immediate difference in the soundproofing between the two rooms. I will say the triangular cones of the panel are 3” thick once they are left to rise but it is very thin in between the cones. Definitely a perfect option for soundproofing bathroom walls.

Disappointed with Wellco Sound Absorbing Panels - Inconsistent Expansion & Poor Quality
I received the 12-pack Wellco 1 ft x 1 ft x 3 in sound-absorbing foam panels, and my experience has been frustrating. The most noticeable issue was the inconsistent expansion—while some panels reached the advertised 3-inch thickness within da week, others still haven't fully expanded. This inconsistency raises serious concerns about quality control. Every panel arrived missing the peel-and-stick adhesive backing, despite being marketed as ready to install. When testing for noise reduction with a cell phone decibel meter (which, while not professional-grade, should still show noticeable differences), I observed only about a 1-decibel reduction. The vacuum-sealed packaging may have contributed to the slow expansion, but after a week, any panels still not at full thickness likely have manufacturing defects. The missing adhesive and minimal impact on noise levels make these panels hard to recommend, especially at this price point.

They work but not as expected.
These panels a triangular in shape and come in two packs vacume sealed. Once tthey are expanded they don't offer much thickness and don't proved any sound dampening. I used my phone to measure sound passing through and they reduction level was 5 DB. Not exactly something I would use to cover my studio in to provide better acoustics. Overall they will probably work to dampen sound that passes through window for example but would be obviously non practical. It has value but not for my needs.

Good Fences and Good Acoustic Treatments Make for Good Neighbors
In order to get the best time for recording a tube amp needs to be LOUD. In order to keep friends and neighbors, they need things QUIET. Sooo, it was time to put some sound absorbing materials in my amp nook. This produce came packed conveniently in a tight little plastic pack. No orders and not crumbly like other acoustic treatments I’ve used. These did not come with adhesive so I used a foam construction adhesive to install, but you could use a two sided tape if you don’t want a permanent install. I haven’t tested the exact dB reduction, but it is noticeably more quiet outside so I can shred away joyfully without waking the neighbors!

No, 5 out of the 12 panels did not generate at certain parts. I will be returning them asap. They were packed very tightly in a 4 inch envelope.
