Dangerous!
I purchased this ladder from HD four years ago. It was positioned on smooth level concrete, and I was on the second step when the front leg failed at the attachment point to the 45 degree brace. It happened instantly, and when I landed on an adjacent set of stairs it shattered my right humerus bone. The weight rating is 250 pounds; I weigh 210. Neither Werner or HD would take responsibility.

I bought this ladder solely because it had a tray for a paint pan. When I put my paint pan on it...
I bought this ladder solely because it had a tray for a paint pan. When I put my paint pan on it I found there was a gap of 3/4” between the top of the tray and the bottom of the paint pan. This made the paint pan not secure at all! Also, because of the gap, when I filled my pan with paint it tilted so the pan was level so I couldn’t even roll excess paint out of the roller. I solved the problem by putting a 3/4” piece of wood between the tray and pan, however it still didn’t tilt enough so I could only fill the pan with about 1/2 the paint that I normally fill it. Very disappointing!
Also, the ladder seems a little flimsy but it does the job, the price was very affordable and I do feel secure on it.

I have a similar ladder, and the paint can platform was a must when purchasing this ladder as a gift for my son with a new house. Love all the holes and depressions for hammers, screwdrivers, screws and nails. No plain ladder can compare with this!! Absolutely worth any extra cost. I would not buy anything else!
