Purchased for use on a Werner MT-22 multi-ladder. Had to drill holes through the side ladder rails to install the two mounting rails (per Werner instructions). Caught me slightly by surprise when they specified drilling those holes with an 11/32" drill bit (I didn't have that size). I drilled them with a 5/16" drill bit then ground them out a bit w/ a rotary tool and all was good. End result was an adjustable leg that I can adjust up/down using a foot on that side of the ladder while I manipulate the ladder with both hands... yielding a very stable ladder footing. Happy.

Outstanding add-on; great for bi-level property
Today I purchased the 32' Werner aluminum extension ladder D1300 series, along with these leg levelers. It took me about 20-25 minutes to install the brackets onto the ladder (you need a drill, metal drill bit size 11/32", tape measure, 1/2" socket, ratchet, marker, a center punch, 0-40ft/lb. torque wrench (optional) and some basic shop/mechanic know-how). Sequence of install is measure, mark, check measurements on marks, line up braces, if good to go...center punch middle of marks, then begin to drill, once holes are drilled glue (provided) spacers to braces and line up...then insert bolt, washers and lock nut and tighten. once hand tightened instructions recommend a 9 ft/lb. tighten. Please pay attention to what type of ladder you have so as to match the application of this item to your respective ladder. It works on four different type of ladders...rung and plate, direct swage with bracing, direct swage w/o bracing "which is the D1300 model", and the telescoping multi-ladder. Applicability to your ladder can be found in the product description area. After installing the braces, the fastening of the leg leveler is cakewalk. It literally takes 5 seconds to attach and extend and just as much time to take off. It is very sturdy. I extended my ladder to 25 feet on uneven ground and climbed to the top...no wobbling, shifting or any kind of weakness or instability indicated. Sturdy construction with heavy duty metal spring and metal geared teeth. Also has locking pin for added safety after the press lock engages. The step down lever makes it that much more easy to use... don't have to bend over to extend leg, just flip lever outward and step on it to extend leg...that easy! And to retract leg all you have to do is tap the top lever and it will retract. Simplistic and solid. A little pricey but definitely well worth it. Extends to about 8.5" more as advertised. Pictures attached show about a 4" high step.

The Ladder adapter components, one on each side were mounted exactly per the directions for my model Werner ladder. Unfortunately, the portable extension does not retract sufficiently so that it is even with the stationary foot on either side. Result is there is no Vernier adjustment when the ground is just a bit uneven. Also the extension must be removed when the ground is flat. PIA. Still ended up using 1/2" wood shims about half the time so it isn't much of an advantage except where it is used on the porch stairs. Can't redrill the ladder as I fear it will weaken it and the bottom rung restricts the adapter positioning. Nice design, poorly applied.

LevelLok has two different models, one is totally automatic to level either side. I chose the "one side at a time" model, this worked for my needs. I have a lopsided hill in the back of my house, and the direction of the slant is all one side. However, I installed LevelLoks on both sides of the ladder. Another thing that I wasn't sure of was pertaining to the model of my aluminum ladder, because it is older than 33 years, and I wasn't sure that it was the Werner brand ladder. But both LevelLoks installed nicely, and they worked perfectly for my needs on the uneven ground that I had, no more rocks, boards or bricks needed for my ladder leveling needs!

Very easy to install. It is a great safety tool, the ladder is always level, no more rocks or 2x4's under one side. Its a huge time saver. I have installed it on multiple ladders now.
