Use this cable driven bath waste and overflow assembly trim kit from Westbrass for the finishing touches to your bathtub. The polyethylene assembly with metal trim includes a standard size 1-1/2 in. pop-up stopper with strainer plate, low profile top elbow with handle mounting back plate, 27 in. cable and a round brass overflow cover knob. Rotate the knob to close the drain. Turn it in the opposite direction to open the drain. The bolt on the adjustable plunger base allows proper flow adjustment, for bathtub drainage. Does this work with Hydrosystems center drain hour glass tub flush center drain?
My drain pipe is currently 2” ABS. I’m guessing I would need a reducer to 1.5 and some sort of adapter?
The tailpiece on this drain is 1-1/2 in. Tubular poly. Somewhere, you will need to incorporate a P-Trap assembly. Usually, The P-trap will be 2 in. to increase flow. If this drain is being installed without a "Mission Style" coupling, one would normally use a 2 x 1-1/2 in. reducer bushing, with a 1-1/2 in. Trap Adapter. As always, check you local code and inspectors. Because this involves a wet wall, it should be permitted and inspected.
