I am really only making cosmetic changes to my house, changing out an overload of bright brass in favor of satin nickle. I got this universal kit for the look, but I wasn't sure what I would find once I took things apart. Luckily, everything in the wall and under the strainer was in really good shape, so this was a 10 minute fix. Nevertheless, if it had been different, everything I would have needed was included in the kit. And I'll hand on the the extras just in case...

This lever and strainer are solidly constructed and easy to install. This comes with a thread adapter if you have whatever the other common thread is that is or was used. I didn't need it, and I'm not a plumber, so I have no idea what the different thread sizes are. The bronze finish on these parts is excellent and I am hoping that it holds up well over time. It really looks great! Installation took about 5 minutes or less.

The lever faceplate was assembled wrong. Sideways. I had to disassemble it and put it back together. I am a woman but managed to do it better than the assembly line worker.

Changed out all of my shower fixtures to black so...
Changed out all of my shower fixtures to black so this was the perfect compliment. Didn’t want to take the whole drain out so I just took the black cover off of this new drain and replaced it on my old one. Got the look I wanted for half the work. Plunger cover went on easily as well.
