AnswersI'm not sure but, I would think if it can decrease the amount of wattage it would work for you. Also I would be concerned why your lamp is stuck. It could pose a problem.

The product worked okay. I've had it over a month now. I expected and hoped it would be a bit more sensitive, not simply shutting off abruptly as I turned it slowly, aiming for the dimmest setting in the range. And I would've preferred a dial that was easier to grip with my fingers. Other than that, it's quite serviceable. The ones I grew up with seemed easier to use, but they're a thing of the past; the 1970's are over. This one will suffice.

Ok dimmer. I used it with an LED bulb and it dimmed ok, but when turning on the switch, it had to be full up to come on at all. It might work better with an incandescent bulb or if you plan on having it full up most of the time.

As expected. Glad these are still made. Will point out that due to combination of this piece plus individual differences in lampshade size/shape, harp size and lightbulb size/shape it might not work for all situations as the sum of all the parts might leave the top of the bulb sticking up past top
