Indoor/Outdoor 6.6 ft. Warm White LED Tape Light Kit

WESTEK INDOOR/OUTDOOR 6.6 FT. WARM WHITE LED TAPE LIGHT KIT provides very good lighting for those areas that you want to accentuate in your home or outside. We found that we needed lighting underneath our kitchen cabinets. The light fixture that the previous owner had installed under one cabinet was loose and awkward because the screws supporting the light weren't the correct distance apart. We chose the Westek white tape light because it is very easy to install and will remain out of sight. I like that it projects onto a surface and I'm not looking directly at any harsh light. The kits comes with everything you need to get started but there are plenty of accessories that you can add, such as a remote control, a dimmer and additional wire lead connectors if you have to cut the LED light apart across any gaps. This tape has 60mLED lights per meter- that's 19 lights per foot, and is 6.6 ft in length. It just can't get any easier to install- measure the length that you need, cut along the line on the tape then peel the backing and attach to the surface. This tape is great for flat surfaces but can bend around curves. Some videos say that you can twist the tape to frame something, such as a tv, but it's much better to buy inexpensive corner connectors. If you have a surface that is not flat, but bumpy or has obstacles, you may also use mounting clips so you won't have to use the adhesive backing. Even though we prefer the warm white lights there are RBG and RBGW lights available (colored lights). What I like best is that this light kit has an IP 65 rating which means that the lights have a silicone layer which keeps out dust and humidity. It is waterproof to the extent that it can get wet, but cannot be immersed in water. We are very pleased with the new LED lights under the cabinets which provide the much needed added brightness to our kitchen.

I have enjoyed the flexibility of the Westek White LED Tape Light, it provides an abundant of light to the area. This is the first time trying a product like this and was surprised how well it performs. We tested the lights in several locations but have decided the mantle is the perfect spot for now. The tape can be cut at predetermined spots, special connectors included so tape can run around corners. Adhesive back for quick surface installation. Can be used outdoors if power supply covered. We are using on the mantle but may attach once I put up Christmas decoration. Overall, it is a fun product, we will enjoy during the holiday season and for decorating on special occasion

LED Tape Light This is a 6-1/2 foot length of LED tape lights, in warm white (3000K color temperature). The lights are bright, and the strip can be cut to the length needed. The back of the tape light has peel and stick 3m adhesive, so the light strip can easily be installed to any clean smooth surface. In the box is one power adapter with a 5 foot cord that plugs in to wall outlet and provides the 12 volt DC needed for the lights. There is a power splitter cord if you want to split the lights and run them two directions from a more central spot. There is also one connector about six inches long that could be used to connect two segments of the light strip if cut. There is no dimmer. The power adapter only has an on/off switch. I got these lights to light up the inside of a media cabinet (over a turntable), and it does work great for that purpose. I only need a couple feet for this project, but would need another power supply to use the remainder of the strip somewhere else.

I have never seen such tiny little lights put out so much light. And talk about easy to install. Just peel the strip on the back and stick them up plug them in and you have light . We have a large porch and I thought that this tape light kit might light up a small portion of our porch . Boy was I wrong it light up all our porch . If you want outside lights this is the only way to go

Real plug and play! You get everything you need to power and switch 6’6” of white LED strip. You get a wall-wart to provide power, with an integrated switch on the cable for turning the light strip on and off. The end of the power cable plugs directly into the light strip. You can position your light strip, connect it to the power cable, plug it in and flip the switch. Note that the back of the light strip has some double sided mounting tape, but please do not expect this standard stuff from China to actually stick for long. It won’t. If you want an adhesive backing, buy a roll of proper stuff to do that. In addition to the complete light strip and power supply, they also provide a splitter cable so that you can cut the light strip into two pieces, and power both. They also provide a short connector which is useful if you need to turn a sharp corner. You cut the strip and then join the pieces together again using the connector piece. The splitter and connector have small clamps that punch down into the contacts on the LED strip. You will need to watch out that you get the polarity right though. The places where you can cut the strip are clearly marked along the strip. The power cable is 5‘ long. If you want a quick 6’ of lighting and have a 120V power receptacle within, 5 feet then this is a quick and easy solution. The LED strip is waterproof. The power supply is not though. Given the very low cost of rolls of 12V LED strip, I do think they should have supplied a whole 16’ role rather than just under 7’ of it. The Westek indoor/outdoor 6.6 foot Warm White LED tape light kit is rather short for making a good size light scene... Longer lengths would be of greater use, since they can be cut to length.. The connector for additional strings is included along with instructions where to cut the tape light... The adhesive back is adequate for adhering the tape to wall or under cabinet surface.

Works great. Easy to install! Stick on and plug. Lots of light with wide pattern. Very well made LED strips seem to be well sealed against dampness. This model is "just white" (not party-color) and comes with the connectors so you can cut and splice the one strip into two or three. No-frills inline switch. Power pack runs quiet and cool. Extension strips are available.

The light were great but, the 3m backing tape is terrible. Clean and prep area even lightly sanded. They would not stay up. returning

Excellent way to get started or fix broken light strips. Good Price Point.
