Thank you for your question. Our Damen 7217300 ceiling fan includes 54 inches of lead wire and with the included lead wire you are able to use a 48 inch down rod. This fan uses a 3/4" diameter down rod. Westinghouse Lighting does not carry a 48 inch long 3/4" down rod but you can use another manufacturers down rod, it just needs to be a 3/4" diameter down rod.
Thank you for your question. This is a nickel luster finish and is not considered shiny like chrome.

Yes, this fan can be installed with a typical On/Off switch on the wall and operated by the remote control when the switch is in the On position.
It comes with a wall holder for the remote.
No
No, this is a DC motor fan and will need to be used with the remote control that is included with the fan when purchased.
Sorry, a light kit is not available for this specific model of fan. Due it’s design, we bought it anyways and continue to receive compliments for its looks and function. Per Westinghouse, for this fan and it’s DC motor, use the remote and not an on/off wall switch to control it.
No, you cannot add a light fixture to this ceiling fan.

This is a LARGE fan and it moves a lot of air. Im sure you would be happy with it in that size room.
Hello there, yes the fan will fit in that size room. For more information please visit our website; http://www.westinghouselighting.com - go to ceiling fans and click on " How to choose a fan size" in some instances the spacious size room such as yours we will recommend to have 2 52" in fans instead. If you have any more questions you can always reach back to us. Thank you.
No, this fan works for a room up to 400 square feet.
That’s a big room but this is a big fan and moves a lot of air so I don’t see why not. I have it installed in a large room with 22 foot ceilings and it works great. Per Westinghouse , this fan should only be used with the remote control and not an on/off wall switch. We love it.
The Damen ceiling fan can be installed on a sloped/angled ceiling up to a 10 degree slope angle with the included down rod. If the slope angle is larger that 10 degrees, you will also need a cathedral ceiling fan canopy kit. If you need to extend the fan, it can also use up to 48 inch down rod as it has a 54 inch lead wire.
Absolutely. All you need to do is go to Home Depot and purchase a longer down rod. I have this exact same fan hanging from a 22 foot ceiling on a 72 inch down rod. You may have to special order to color match if that's an issue for you. All you have to do is remove the ball from the end of the short down rod that came with the fan and install it on the end of the new longer down rod. It's a screw and pin process. Should take 15 seconds. The length of your down rod depends on the angle of your vaulted ceiling, but I've seen down rods come in at least 96 inches. For safety reasons, you should keep your fan at least 8 feet off of the floor. I suggest you take the shorter OEM down rod with you to make sure the diameter of both down rods is the same so it all fits. Simple process. You will love this fan. It moves a lot of air, is super quiet and we get compliments on it all the time.
Yes
Yes, you can add a longer down rod to this fan. This comes with an 8 inch down rod but you can add up to a 48 inch down rod to this fan.
Absolutely. The longer down tubes at Home Depot, etc., are generic and usually standard size in diameter. (Take your short factory tube with you to ensure proper fit). You will have to remove the ball at the end of the short factory down tube and mount it on the end of the new longer tube. It's a simple through pin and screw and takes 15 seconds. Ceiling fans, for the best performance and safety, should be mounted no lower than seven feet from the floor. I usually mount my fans between 7 to 10 feet max from the floor for the best performance.
