Single Spool of Dual Feed 0.065 in. Trimmer Line for 40VMAX+ String Trimmer

I received the trimmer as a gift a few weeks ago. I had a gas trimmer, but I was the only one that could use it due to the weight (and noise). It also was a chore to start as well as maintain. Hence, the battery trimmer...quieter, easier to maintain, and significantly lighter. My wife and 14 year old could use the trimmer with ease. I have a yard that is about an acre and 3/4 of it is trimmable. I was able to trim basically 75% of my single yard on a battery charge. As I get used to using it, I should be able to do the entire yard. The trimmer was able to cut most of the grass without issue. It does struggle a bit on very thick grass and brushy type weeds. So things I will need to get used to: Charging batteries. Never had to charge them and I have to now. That being said, they charged very quickly. My old trimmer shot grass everywhere and the way the guard was set up, I could trim any which direction [see photo]. The guard is set up differently, so I need to adjust my "swing." Not a big deal at all. After a few minutes, not an issue. The noise level...I never realized how loud gas trimmer were until my son came to check it out the new trimmer and I could hear him just fine. That is quite nice also. The string...it is lighter than what I am used to and as mentioned, the trimmer struggles on thicker grass and brushy type weeds..again not a big deal because since other people can use it and maintaining the yard will be easier to do. The apparent best part...after I was finished with the yard, my kids commented that I wasn't covered in grass and didn't smell like gas. I didn't need to shower and change before sitting down to dinner. They were extremely happy about that. The edger function...Not sure about it as of yet. Our ground has been wet and so it did not seem to work well along the sidewalk. Not a dealbreaker as that is not the main reason for the purchase. Will try again when the ground is drier. So that being said, after a couple of uses, I am very pleased. If anything changes, I will post an update.

I received this as a Christmas present with several other Westinghouse battery operated yard tools. Very pleased with the performance.

Where can I order a dual feed spool of line for my 40VMax string trimmer? The trimmer works great.D

Problem no one sells a replacement spool for the 40v dual string. Is there someone out there that is compatible?

Enjoying my product just wish it had more battery.

I bought this tool last November and have had only limited use since then, but it has worked great for trimming around my landscape blocks and walkways. Now that the weather is becoming a little more enjoyable we'll be using it much more.

Its winter time and haven't been able to use it yet. I did buy 2 extra batteries and there is an issue with the battery power level button. You have to press the button with everything you have to see the battery level.

This electric string trimmer has been a great addition to my set of landscaping equipment. It replaced a gas trimmer and I much prefer this style due to the reduction in noise as well as easy of operating i.e. starting it up and maintenance.

power and run time as advertised. we'll see how it does through time. so far so good!!

So far I’ve used the trimmer and blower once and they were great. No cords, no gas. I love it!!
