Unreliable But Good Water
I have purchased two complete units in a 3 year period and am now facing a 3rd unit because the locking tabs become slightly damaged while installing replacement filters. I've tried replacement with water pressure on (per instruction manual) and also with it off and I get the same results. The cartridges keep blowing off pouring water under our sink. My guess is poor quality of molding (see plastic burs inside pictures of brand new cartridges). Once they blow off, you are screwed and have to purchase a new unit. We love the water quality and taste, but I'm terrified every time I have to replace filters. Also, I don't use the 6 month cycle but rather monitor a drop in flow as indication of time to replace.
