A:  I don't have a scale but empty it is fairly light. According to the manufacturers website, it says net weight 42 lbs. It seems lighter than that to me. A single female is able to lift it to chest height empty.

A:  Yes, it is very suitable for truck drivers. Only drawback is, it is not frost free but that is very managable

A:  What kind of truck do you have? Kenworth, Peterbilt,Volvo? Most have 12 Volt system some have access to 24 volt for starting. Mine didn't have easy access for 120 volt for lights and accessory stuff. How cold do you want and how cold do you need food. If you have 12 volt or 24 volt systems then top loading coolers are better for they keep liquids inside till it need to be drained. The Whynter cooler / freezer does have a two key set for locking the door closed so a milk bottle, orange juice bottle won't accidentally pop the door open on a sharp turn. Plus those top lid coolers usually have a freezer section and cooler section. Some even have a switch to make it like a heat pump and warm space inside for sandwiches. I did like my Whynter freezer but decided to go for the top lid freezer and I found out it got to minus 20 for good ice cream. When the freezer door is locked and you make a sharp turn, the door will pop open 1/8" and stay there usually till you press it closed fully. .

A:  Mine has not leaked and I have had it for 2 years.

A:  It requires a strong inverter, I don’t remember how many watts.  It does not leak. I use it in the storage compartment in my RV to keep extra frozen foods while traveling
