AnswersNo, It has plastic panels on all four sides, so birds feed on 4 sides. It also holds enough seed to last a long time.
Can you mount this product on a tall pole preventing squirrels from invading the feeder?

Very well made for harsh weather. Have had this most of summer. Mounted on Woodlink pole and added Woodlink squirrel baffle. Will need to clean bird droppings off baffle with water hose now and then to keep neat. Pole has marginal stability in soft soil, but works. Be prepared to see a large ring of seeds and sprouts around base of feeder from tossed out seeds. Would not use in a spot where the lawn is to be kept pretty. Works well for small birds like chikadees and wrens, doves and jays usually peck around the ground dropped seeds.

Great bird feeder
This is the last feeder you will need to buy. It is sturdy and easy to clean. It is made of a durable recycled plastic so no worries of rotting but it looks like wood. It has holes throughout the tray to keep water from accumulating and creating a mess in the tray. Inside the seed hopper there is an angled tray that keeps the seed pushing out to the tray and prevents seed from clumping in the middle which causes a real mess to clean up. I attached a suet cage on one side hanging below the feeder which works great. With four sides to this feeder you will be surprised how many birds will get on there at one time. I have been feeding birds for 38 years and have not seen or used a feeder as good as this one.

My son bought this for me for Mother's Day. ...
My son bought this for me for Mother's Day. It's made very well. It's sturdy and beautiful. It's hard to tell that it isn't real wood. I love that it will stand the test of time in our weather. I do wish we had known the measurements on the bottom for mounting it. We mounted it on a 4x4 with some L bars, but knowing the places on the bottom that we mounted it to would have been helpful . "We got this online" Overall, I am very pleased with this. It's easy to flip the hinged top and pour the seed in. The birds can easily perch all around it. I'm LOVING this!

Far too heavy to hang, as was billed. Must scramble to find a mounting pole system that allows easy cleaning. Regular feeder flanges are not wide enough to straddle the two supports underneath, so I must jerry-rig with a smaller flange and a piece of wood. Ridiculous for something costing $77.

I have not installed the product yet, but I have received it. It is large and very sturdy. It's look and feel suggest it is going to last a long time. If you are looking for a cute birdhouse, this isn't it. But, if you are looking for a bird house that is going to last, this is probably it.
