Poor results
I had poor results with the foam roller. I used the foam roller for the final coat thinking it would be a smooth finish. I primed with two coats, then used the 1/4” nap roller for the first two coats of the main color, then attempted a final coat with the expectations of smooth, no stipple finish. I sanded and tack clothed between each coat, giving a full day to dry. Not only was the final coat stippled, it also had streaks. The two photos show the final coat of a cabinet door front after using the foam roller and the rear cabinet door using the 1/4” nap. Paint used was Behr cabinet and trim

At Wooster your feedback and satisfaction is important to us and we are sorry to hear you were not happy with the Wooster Foam Mini Roller Covers. The foam used in these covers is a quality high dense foam compare to the foam in brushes on the bottom shelf of the store that crumble and fall apart in one use. Foam is known for its smooth finish, especially matched up with Behr paint. We welcome calls to Wooster Brush customer service at (800) 392-7246 if we can further assist in anyway.

We never like to hear that you were not satisfied with the Pro Foam Mini Cage roller covers. These high-density foam roller covers are meant to provide a lint-free, no-stipple finish. Without knowing the specifics of your project, we cannot say why they may have left streaks in the door. We stand behind the quality of our products and welcome a call to Wooster Customer Service at 800-392-7246.

Very pleased with how well the product worked when on the cage frame roller. Never had a issue with the roller sliding, unlike many of the other foam rollers I tried using. Painted kitchen cabinets with it

I love the size and weight of this Mini Roller Cover and handle! It says it is lint free and easily pain a thin layer of varnishes, enamels, and all paints. It is 4.5 inches in length and is made of foam so clean up should be easy. It has a open 3/4 inch core which fits easily over the mini roller frame. The roller frame is made to spin freely and should not skid or skip. Two form rollers came in a package.

These mini foam rollers are one of my favorite painting products. I'm not a pro painter, so I am not good at using a brush for cutting in. So I use these foam mini rollers to paint the edges of walls and ceilings and corners. The great thing about the foam rollers is that you can put paint on the end and paint into corners, without worrying about rubbing or scratching the wall. The standard Wooster mini roller covers sometimes have plastic on the end of the roller, so if you are working in a corner and hit the side wall, it will scrape the wall. These foam rollers handle that and make it easy to cut in before painting with a full size roller. I'm a big fan of all Wooster paint products and particularly love their rollers.

I'm really impressed with this little roller. I used this to put Danish oil onto the bottoms and insides of new drawers made from B2 3/4" Maple plywood and 3/16" veneer core Maple plywood. The foam soaked up the oil easily and applied it to the maple surface very well. I didn't have to press hard to get a nice even coat and the high-density foam gave limited bubbles. It was much faster to apply the oil this way versus by hand with a rag or by foam brush. The quality of the foam is also much better than the standard foam brush and didn't pull apart if it caught an edge. Due to the cage design, you will need the Wooster Mini Roller Cage Frame (see picture below) because it will not work with a standard paint roller (you'll need model number 0HR0190000 or 0HR0180000). I think the time saved outweighs the small cost of this item and I will likely continue to use these for quick stain applications.

Great quality. Good for varnishes, enamels and all paints. Though I mostly use them with latex for wood projects. They seem to hold a bit more paint than other brands of rollers. Cleanup is a breeze. Replacements are easy to find and always stocked at my local home depot. They are fairly inexpensive so I just toss them if I use any oil based paint. Easier than cleaning with mineral spirits. I find the smooth surface easier to roll. I used to hand paint my calendars but using this cuts my painting down 90 percent easy..Especially when I go to a 24" diameter carving or higher...Highly recommend..
