What is the difference between the 785p+ and the 785p?

Answer

This is a very good question. Suggest you contact XTEND+CLIMB for clarity. My experience: Viewing online info, both models visually appear to be very similar in design. The mfg warranty & registration info, as well as spec info on the HD website was a bit confusing and conflicting.......is warranty 6 months or 5 years? My concern was simple: I was not comfortable spending ~$300 for a ladder that had a 6 month warranty, nonetheless the safety of loaning it to neighbors for installing holiday decorations. Performing online registration, I noted the 785p design says a 6 months, yet the warranty card that came with the ladder stated 5 years. So I contacted XTEND + CLIMB via email. Based on feedback from the mfg: seems I missed the "+" sign notation. In referring to the production code, I had purchased the 785p+ which has a 5 year warranty for manufacturing defects.... material and workmanship. They also sent me add'l care and maintenance info to assure safety and product longevity using my 785p+ ladder. So bottom line Jeff...... suggest you contact Mfg.

Awesome Ladder
Spend a little time practicing with this ladder and you are going to love it. I bought it because I have rental properties and I always need to get to the roofs or change a lamp etc. I have a friend who is a super for a building super for a local contractor. When he saw this he said the exact same thing that I did "Why did I not know about this before"?

I was at first skeptical of this product as being gimmicky... I have used it on a few projects and truly like it. It is very versatile fitting in the trunk of my car and easily stored at the job-site. I recommend this to any small contractor or home owner.

We had to use this type of ladder for entry into a large diameter vertical pipe column in our clarifier while cleaning, its small opening at the bottom made the telescoping feature a perfect fit. We were happy with the construction quality and design for our use.

Pretty much as advertised. Very compact storage in comparison to extension ladders. Feels very stable and strong. A bit heavier and more difficult to extend and collapse than I hoped, but both are reasonable.

Good Ladder
Have only used it a few times, but the ladder seems to be relatively well constructed. It's nice to have a ladder that fits in the car and can reach up to 12.5 feet.

Great ladder for home inspections. Nice for accessing second level of homes from the roof and confined attic access locations. (see picture) Very solid when climbing. Nice heavy duty ladder. I keep this one seat belt strapped in the back seat of my truck. Exceeded my expectations!

Great ladder. Much easier to store than an extension ladder and more versatile. In storing it, though, I have to hang it upside down on my gladiator garageworks storage track. The weight of the ladder then stretches the nylon strap that holds it together. But i bought a heavier duty nylon tool belt strap and that works just fine.
