The YARD FORCE YF1011-ESS is ideal for snow removal from sidewalks, porches, decks, patios, driveways and more. With a whisper-quiet motor there will be no waking up your household or your neighbors during the next snowstorm. It has a powerful 10 Amp motor that throws snow up to 20 in. It cuts an 11 in. path in snow up to 6 in. D and weighs less than 14 lbs. to make it easy to control and carry up steps and around your home. The YF1011-ESS is equipped with an adjustable auxiliary handle to make it comfortable for anyone in the household to use and eliminate the stress of lifting like a typical snow shovel to prevent back pain and fatigue.

A: Ming, the YF1011 Electric Snow Shovel will not grind up the layer of ice under the snow. But certainly can clear the snow that is on top of the ice.

A: Yes, it would not move the ice, you would just run it over the ice to throw the snow that is on top. This machine is not heavy-duty so I think it would have a hard time if there was ice on top of snow but should work with ice under snow.

A: Hi Trisha, the YF1011ESS electric snow shovel weighs only 13 lbs. and is easy to use. While clearing snow there is no need to lift it until you are moving it from one location to another. Simply push it along and the clearing paddle throws the snow up to 25 feet away.

A: Hi Art, the YF1011-ESS does not have wheels, they are not needed. Simple push it along the surface like a snow shovel and the impeller-paddle draws in the snow and thrusts it up to 20' up and forward. Easily can clear standard height railings on decks, patios, etc. You can see more in the video on YardForce.com. For some reason the video is not playing on HomeDepot.com. It serves a purpose

It's harder to push than i thought it would be. I find the cord always in the way and i get covered in snow but in the same breath i find it a little easier than having to shovel and lift the snow.i use it for clearing a walk way and a small area for my little dogs to go to the bathroom when i don't want to break out the snowblower.
