Bad part
Came with wrong front left wheel assembly, it was marked front right and the wheel would not touch the ground in any position. Very frustrating, no attention to detail. Also cheap plastic everywhere, including gas filler cap. Cheap crap.

Low cost, big value lawn mower! Exactly the mower I wanted!
So, I was looking for a low cost, light weight lawn mower. I moved to a house a couple years ago and have been using a lawn service. Well, I decided spending around $1,000 a year on that wasn't worth it; as long as I could find quality, but low cost items to do it myself. Would I like a $600+ fancy mower with self propel and all the goodies? I mean, not really, maybe when I get a bit older.
I recall using a mower very similar to this one (in size / shape / features / weight) when I was a kid. Used to mow my moms lawn and some neighbors lawns. If I could do that at 12 years old, I can do it now in my 30's.
Another thing that helped me purchase this, was how easy it is to get ready / build. It literally is like 97% built. All I had to do was tighten 4 hand screws to secure the handle, and of course add the oil (which they include) and gas.
So, once all setup (in like 5 minutes), I was ready to push the primer 3 times and see what happens when I pull the cord. First pull I was amazed how easy it was; I guess it seemed harder on an old mower when I was a kid. One pull and it started right up; and has started up every start since on the first pull! I've only had it a couple months, so I can't speak of how long it will last. But, it seems sturdy, and I hope it lasts many years. Just a reminder, be sure to replace your oil once a year, and don't use gas that is old (a few weeks is fine, but, once a month I make sure to fully empty my gas can and refill it fresh. I just empty whatever is left into my car, then refill the gas can).
This mower is easy to push, even with some of the hills and slants my lawn has. It isn't too loud either. No earplugs needed for me at least. I mean, yeah your neighbors are still going to hear a mower outside. The wheel adjustments are easy to use, and have stayed right where I put them. I like that this is a simple just side eject. A mulcher would be a fine option too (this doesn't mulch, just side ejects). I just didn't want to do any bagging. I'm all about getting a job done with the least work. I honestly had fun and am excited to mow. Probably because it's been so many years, that may wear off after a while lol. But, to sum it all up... This mower works exactly as I expected. No surprises, no cons. If this is in your top few choices for a mower in this price range, just get this one.

It was very easy for me to put together and isn’t terribly heavy. I added some oil and gasoline; pumped the bulb 3 times and it started right up. Does a good job. It is a bit of a struggle for me to adjust the height (Female with a bad shoulder). Love it otherwise.
