I used this fence post to build my 6ft picket fence. I dug 8 in holes, 2 feet deep and set the post in concrete. I was able to use the square post level gauge to plumb all the post as well. This is a tricky product review to write because the post themselves were easy to set and were very sturdy after the concrete dried so it turned out as expected and I'm happy with that. BUT, the overall project of making a wooden picket fence with metal fence post is a different story. Because I used brackets to secure the 2x4 stringers to the metal post, they weren't as sturdy as wooden 4x4 since the 2x4 stringers are nailed directly to the 4x4 post. An 8 ft 4x4 is also cheaper, even with the bulk price for the metal fence post. In total I purchased 45 metal post for my fence project. It brought down the price from $18 to $13 per post. Overall happy with with my purchase. If I could do my fence project again, I think I would consider wooden fence post instead.

I am using this fence post to put up a wood cedar fence using Oz-Post brackets. My only concern with this post is it seems a little thin. The gauge of the metal is not as thick as previous metal fence posts I have had. So far my fence has withstood 40mph gusts with no problem.

Good quality
You’re standard galvanized fence post. Great price compared to most other places! The groved top is a nice feature to secure a post cap. Looks like they will last for many years to come

The post themselves are great. Good quality and to spec. Just DO NOT order online!!! My experience was more complicated than it should have been. Not angry at all. Just had to make one to many trips to the store for pick up because my order said it had arrived but did not get email to pick up. Order was not complete so it was a partial, then same thing happened but the order wasn't really there so they had to re order the partial..... Either way, i got what i needed, it would have been easier to grab the in stock for a couple of $$ more. Check in store stock first before ordering.
