It is recommended to use one post every 5 feet.
There is no absolute requirement. I used 5’ T-posts every 8 feet, and zip-tied to hog fencing. It is more of a visual block or deterrence.
Hello Gh, thank you for your question. If you are planning to use all 50', I recommend using a post every 5 to 10 feet. For sow fence, you should use T-Posts, 8 feet tall. Regards, your YardGard support team.
I would recommend the 5’ T posts not the U posts. They have to be the solid posts or the wind will bend them. I used a post for every 7 feet or so.
I ended up only needing half of the fencing, and used three fence posts. It's holding up pretty good, so far, even with the high winds we've had lately.
