        Works great!
We had a large project laying pavers - a patio and three walkways. Because we're retired and were not exactly sure what we wanted for the layout, I knew we'd be stretching the project out for an extended period of time. Renting would have been more expensive than buying, so we bought this one. Ordered online and picked up at local store. Assembly was easy, followed the instructions. Ran great, and really compacted 3/4" gravel well. Easy to use for both of us. Project is done, selling it to a neighbor today. MUCH cheaper and less hassle than renting for this extended project (5 days spread over a couple weeks due to weather), which came out great!

          Customer Service is Insanely Bad!
Throttle lever is a flimsy component that attaches to the handle with a steel bracket, but that bracket is way too small. I could maybe duct tape it, but I just bought a new $700 tool, and don't want to do that. I email YardMax through their support form 5 weeks ago for a solution. 2 weeks later, I get an email reply, but they're only interested in getting my personal info to register the product. I send it. 3 weeks later, they confirm my registration. Nothing else. Guess I'm on my own!

            Well worth it.
This Yardmax 3000 plate compactor is well worth the money. Was shipped to the Home depot and we opened up the box there to inspect it condition, perfect. Once home we found it very easy to assemble and the directions were very clear. I have about 15 hrs of usage with this machine. Runs great and starts on the first pull everytime.

              yard max 3000
Have not ran it yet but out of the box doing my do diligence in looking it all over and reading the user manual that i typiclly do found the kill switch not connected on one side. After trying the number in yhe manual it just gives an option for dealer near you. Briggs and Stratton sure has missed the boat on customer service. Even on line it’s extremely hard yo even find anything on the factory placement for the wires. All i have to say is do your job and look it iver first for anything out if place before starting it.

Very easy to assemble and fired right up… only 1 use so far, and hopefully will continue performing well.

Poorly built product and poor customer service
I purchased this product November 2023 and within a month, a faulty part fell into the engine causing internal engine damage. The product has a 2 year warranty but after contacting Yardmax, they immediately told it wasn't under warranty because it was a engine problem and to contact Briggs and Stratton. Why do I need to contact them when I bought the product from your company. I've been getting the runaround for the past month trying to get an answer from customer service, it's ridiculous!

Dear customer, the engine has a manufacturer warranty, therefore this plate compactor's engine is covered by Briggs and Stratton. Thank you, YARDMAX
Easy assembly, started on second pull right out of the box. First pull after that. Worked as expected compacting 8" of 2A in layers. Now my friends and family want to borrow it to fix their patios. Only regret is not buying it sooner instead of renting one so often in the past.
