Is there a power cord extension available? To extend the 10 ft cord that is on the camera now.
I use one of my cameras with a 30 ft USB cable extension, but you can also use a regular electrical extension cord to plug it in.

Wifi is required, specially to set it up. It does record on micro sd card. Yes it can use an external power pack that feeds the USB cord.
There is a slot for a micro SD card to record for you. It uses a USB cable for power, so your power source will need to provide constant power when the camera is working.
Can the camera be set up to only record motion detection events to the SD card? I do not want continuous recording, nor do I want to subscribe for a cloud service. Thanks.

How to get or claim the free 6 months cloud subscription?
Once camera or cameras have been added to the YI app you can the individual at the 6 month free service by first clicking on camera then click the iCloud icon, this will Give you the option to buy coverage Howe’s one of the choice will be to activate free subscription and will then tell you the date of expiration. This will give you unlimited motion detection with a 7day cycle.
In Yi Home app, under the settings, click “my Yi cloud”, then you can claim half year free cloud recordings.
How much is the Cloud storage? If I use a SD card, will I receive alerts on my smart phone? Thank you,
Cloud storage is available starting at $5.50 per month. And yes, you will receive alerts on your phone when using an SD Card through the Yi App.
I think it is 5.00 per month. I don’t know if you will get alerts or not with an SD card sorry.
