Another bad Chinese item
Was difficult to connect and customer service at Y1 lacking knowledge. Had issues ans they merely replied back with the instructions in the book which clearly weren’t working. Finally connected and worked for about two weeks then starting showing purple views. Again customer service not helping because they want pictures of the actual camera, which is installed in vacation home I can’t get to. Local home depot no longer carries so I feel I just wasted more money on Chinese built garbage

Yi are scammers do not buy beware shady practices
This does not work. I have had the camera less than two months. I called and you will not send a replacement without me paying for a new one. This isnt covered under warranty. So the thing that makes the camera power on isnt covered. Hmmm. Dont buy from yi

Great Image Quality!
Fast and easy installation process. Just download the app. (I got iPhone, iPad, Samsung galaxy and it worked just fine with all) The only thing that I didn't get was the part where the camera needed to connect to the wifi since it cant be in a ----5Ghz--- wifi has to be lower. I figured by asking my wifi provider and they fixed it. Nothing complicated. I can hear everything happening outside and I can use the intercom feature if I want to scare someone away (IT'S LOUD!). Exactly what I needed. :)

These cameras are solid, never had a problem connecting or with signal dropping, good at night and sharp images in all light conditions. The mobile app and PC (I watch nine cameras simultaneously on my windows based PC, also available for MAC) software both work flawlessly. Great weather resistance (Canadian summer and winter... no problem) and comes with free cloud storage for 6 months.

This camera is very well made, great packaging. It is 2 3/4" diameter and including the mounting bracket sticks out from the wall about 6".
It was quite easy to setup with an app on my iphone.
The camera MUST be within range of your wifi router. The wire permanently mounted to the camera has a USB plug. It is 6 feet long. If you want it further away from a power outlet, you will need a USB extension cable. It can be plugged into the wall with a phone charger (included) or a PC.
App allows you to see the image anywhere with a smart phone in the app. Motion alerts to phone only if you buy their cloud storage add-on.
Picture quality is amazing. Color in light conditions, black/white in night-mode.

The daytime video quality is really good (one of the best I have experimented with), but the nighttime video quality is practically useless. Take a look at the still shot attached to this review, which came from the camera at aprox. 11pm with no exterior lighting on. The deck rails are painted white and create so much contrast you can't see anything past them. That means if someone or something was creeping around just past the deck... I would have no footage. The app isn't bad and pretty easy to navigate, but I am disappointed there here is yet another camera that won't allow us to write directly to a network share. I have a NAS running with 6TB of RAID 1 storage... and I have to pay this company a hundred bucks to save the video on someone else's servers? The build quality is pretty good and the housing is water resistant / exterior rated. I tested by soaking it in a bucket for a few minutes and it fired right up and started recording without any issues. A ball and socket mount is provided so you should be able to mount this almost anywhere and fine tune the angle after it's installed. For consumer grade cameras this is a nice one, I just wish they would give us the option to sue the local network.

Super clear, Wi-Fi, weatherproof camera. This YI H30 Wired Outdoor Bullet Wi-Fi Security Camera, 1080p, Waterproof, Night Vision is a great camera that is simple to install and put into use. Downloading the APP is easy and I had no problem with connecting to my home Wi-Fi system. Only took a few minutes to set it up. The wall mount fixture with a adjustable ball joint allows you to place and aim exactly where you want it. It has a hard wired USB cable that needs to go into an adapter plug (included). This line in about 10 feet (3 meters), but that means I have to go to an electrical outlet instead of hard wiring straight to house power. That isn't a show stopper and worked out fine. But I just wanted to detail that in the review so people won't be surprised if they had planned to just hard wire into outdoor light wiring. But if you are a handyman and creative, you can easily work around this. The picture I included shows how nice the picture is, even on a completely overcast day. The photo is a screen shot of the camera image. I am very happy with this camera!

A good quality HD camera with 2-way communication and night time infrared that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. It was very easy to set up with easy to follow instructions and voice prompts from the camera itself. The white 10 ft power cord gave me enough leeway to mount it high above my drive and garage area. It is very sensitive to motion so I had to dial it down to keep from being alerted all night by the phone app. The sensitivity area is easily adjusted on the app. Cloud storage at different levels is available at reasonable prices or you can just insert a microSD card in the slot on the bottom of the camera. (They don't stress that option in the instructions but so far a 32Gb card works fine for me.) When triggered, an alert is sent to your phone or computer where you can watch it in real time or as a recording.

The YI Outdoor camera has so far been functioning very well.The main base of the camera is just over 3 inches, which is a good length so it can be set up anywhere without it being obtrusive. Installation is simple with the set up coming with a screwdriver, cable clips, wall screws, and wall anchors.
The outdoor camera has great night vision and is weatherproof. The camera comes equipped with a two way talk feature enabling you to communicate with anyone near the camera. I really like this security camera, it's extremely practical and has many different options of use.
