The Yale Assure 2 lockset is an attractive unit, but intimidating-looking to install. Well, I'm half right--because it only LOOKS intimidating, especially if you are replacing an existing dead-bolt. Read the instructions FIRST, and the basic install should take less than 15 minutes. However, installing the Smart Sensor required a 5/8" spade bit, for flush fit, that I had to make another trip to Home Depot for. Syncing to my iPhone was a short and sweet process. The ORB finish blended perfectly with my existing door handle. Continued functionality will remain to be seen, but it worked flawlessly upon installation.

Also has an awesome Bluetooth feature that if you use the app you can open and close The lock with the app. Simple installation just as any other lock. Download the app and it linked up easily with no issues. When you have the app, you can send links to other people so they can have access as well. This particular lock is Bluetooth and doesn't Have Wi-Fi which you only need if you wish to lock or unlock when away from home. So you have key, Bluetooth or code to enter. Great quality, great finish and look. No more fumbling for keys just by one of these and make your life easy.

I found this lock was very annoying to install. It requires a phone app and the first thing it did was firmware update that took 2 tries to complete. Installation took about an hour to complete. The lock did not mount flush to my pre-drilled steel door and the striker plate is not a standard size either. Mounting plate holes did not line up correctly due to the pre-drilled hole being slightly too small I suppose. I am not going to be able to change my steel door. The lock jams if the door is even slightly tight on the deadbolt or the deadbolt receiver hole is too shallow. However, the lock does work on all its electronic and app related features. The actual intension is to use the phone app to unlock and lock the door and getting out the phone, opening the app, connecting to the lock is not something as convenient as keys. Good to use if you add door codes.

I was looking for a no bells and whistles keypad lock for my garage entry door and this fits the bill perfectly. The built quality is excellent and the lock feels premium overall including the deadbolt mechanism which is very smooth. It uses 4 AA batteries for operation. It also comes with a physical key in case of emergency (e.g.. totally dead battery) The basic installation (without the door open/close sensor) is super easy. All you need is a Philips head screwdriver. I was able to pull out the old lock and install this in about 30 minutes. I did not install the door open/close sensor as I did not need that but it needs a spade bit to install the sensor next to the lock. The Yale Access app for operation is very simple and intuitive enough for all age groups. The lock can be opened via a keycode or using Bluetooth via app. The access can be shared with family members via invitation and registering them for the app. There is also an option to add Wi-Fi capability to this lock after purchasing a separate module that fits in the interior unit. I would probably not do that as first there is no need for this in the garage entry door and secondly to prolong the battery life. Overall, very pleased with this lock and would recommend this if you want to use this for garage entry door or similar application.

Easy to install and set up with desired codes. More than one code may be installed on the unit to allow other individuals to access to your home. This lock does not come with the module needed to allow the lock to set up and programmed to WIFI and be operated from an App on your smartphone. The dark bronze color would be good for almost any color door. I would recommend this lock.

The Yale Assure 2 door lock is convenient for entrance to our home. It’s handy to use and not need a physical key. It took this 60-something year old couple less than 30 minutes to figure it out, download the optional app, and be using it on our door. The key pad itself is easy to see. Its white numbers jump out against the matte black finish. The app also allows us to lock and unlock the door quickly. Our home has a guest suite on the lower level and this will be a much easier option for us when we have guests than having to give them a key and retrieve it.

The Yale Assure 2 Lock is an electronic deadbolt that simplifies home access. This model is keyed, comes with 1 key, and has lots of great features. It has bluetooth for easy setup and monitoring. There is an optional module that supports Wi-Fi, which then enables more features, including Google Home or Apple HomeKit. Unit is sleek and handsome looking. Installation was easy and took me about 30 minutes. The lock performs flawlessly and has a 1 button lock feature that is super handy when leaving home. I will be adding the Wi-Fi module soon. An excellent product!

This lock is really a nice unit and I really cant say enough about it. I think from start to finish it probably took me about 20 minutes to install and that's being generous. I must have a really standard door because I literally took the old lock off and put this one in. It was a total piece of cake to install. I even drilled a hole in the door frame for the door sensor which again, was super easy. So far I have been connecting to it through Bluetooth and its been working perfectly. I love the feeling of the buttons on the outside in that there is a physical button and not just a touchpad. The buttons make entering the code so much better and easier. I like the sound of it... not too loud and the dings etc. that it does make are nice a subtle. All in all this is a really nice lock and the install was really easy and quick. You will love it. P.S. I plan on buying the zwave module for this so I can hook it up to my home automation system!

Just installed the Yale Assure 2 lock satin nickel keyed single cylinder deadbolt with push button keypad and Bluetooth on the side door to our garage and it works great. I use part of our garage as storage for my home renovation business and occasionally have employees pickup supplies or tools from the garage, the Yale Assure 2 lock allows them access to the garage with the key pad( no more handing over the keys to the whole house). Installation was easy as we have a standard exterior door and was installed and operating in about 30 minutes. The keypad is easy to use and the deadbolt operates smoothly plus the app works fine, but since this deadbolt is a Bluetooth only model the app seems a bit useless (the app would be great with the wifi version of this lockset). You can set open and close times, plus enter multiple codes for who ever needs fulltime or just one time access (nice option). The deadbolt set comes with one key (going to get a couple of spares made) and four AA batteries, make sure to upload the app to your phone before you install the lock as you need it for installation. Overall a nice looking deadbolt set that works great and has useful features to help me operate my business.
