This is perfect! I use so many of these and most are about the same. The biggest difference in this particular unit is the cord. The 6 foot cord makes it so much better. The added 6ft allows you to use the GFCI without always needing to get another extension cord. The 14 awg is large enough for most commercial applications. The lighted end helps identify whether the GFCI has tripped and makes it much more visible in low light applications.

Quality looks good, it has 14/3 gauge wire rated for up to 15 amps. It's plenty long at 6 feet. Easy to use and tell if it is on. Likes: plug end lights up when power is on (see pic). Easy to use. Reason for purchasing it: to use with my electric power washer (power washer has a built-in power interrupter but I don't trust it especially when the cord is laying in the water. I feel much safer connecting the power washer using this interrupter. In the spring I will be using it with my hedge trimmer and electric chainsaw. A must have if you have ever accidentally cut your power cord while doing yard work.

I recently ordered and received one Yellow Jacket 6-foot 14/3 GFCI Medium -Duty extension cord. The cord is lighted at the female end when plugged in to a power outlet. The male end of the cord is situated at a right angle and has a convenient reset switch which trips cutting power to the cord if a ground fault is detected. This is a nice safety feature which helps to prevent accidental electrical shock. This cord is rated at medium duty but has a very heavy duty feel to it. I have included a picture to get an idea of what the cord looks like. This product comes with a 1-year warranty but based upon my opinion will last far beyond the warranty.

When I do odd jobs outside or away from home I am never sure how safe the power supply is. The Yellow Jacket GFCI extension cord protects my tools and me from electric failures and injuries. The GFCI lets me know if the outlet has power, protects against power surges and cuts off the power if there is a short. I will use the six foot cord, but with be looking for a longer cord that is more practical for outdoor workspaces.

The Yellow Jacket GFCI is a big plus when it comes to locations that are not protected to ground faults. We did not have these in the old days. I was lucky that over all those years of using power tools and extension cords outside I did not get electrocuted. But know that I am older I realize it only takes one time and it may be your last! So for now on I am going to use one of these every time I plug in outside or when using extension cords or power tools inside as well when the outlets are not GFCI protected. This Unit has a 6 Foot 14-3 Gauge cord that really comes in handy on the job and the lighted receptacle lets you know it's live as well as easy to see. This unit is rated for 15 Amp 1800 Watts Max. Load.

Yellow Jacket GFCI cord is really great, I wash my own cars and when I need to plug in the power washer or vacuum this cord is a must in front of my extension cord. We also take it with us to the boat when we are working with electricity next to the water, it will and can save your life if there is contact with water or a short. So it nice to have one of these around the house. Small enough to take with you on the job or away from home. Has a test switch on it as well. So you know its working. I love it.

A good way to add a level of safety if your power socket does not already have GFCI protection. If you are working with power from a socket with no (or unknown) GFCI protection, simply put this into the socket and plug your extension cables or tools into its outlet. This gives you GFCI protection and another 6’ of cable reach. Once plugged in, you do have to press the reset button to energize the cable. This is to prevent power tools suddenly springing to life unexpectedly when the system is plugged into a live socket. It also has a test button that can (and should) be used to test its functionality. The 14 gauge wire allows it to handle 15 Amps. The power plug doesn't take up much more room than a regular dual receptacle. I was able to plug it into a receptacle we have that is somewhat recessed next to some window trim. See picture. Another nice feature is that the end lights up when there is power present in the cable. This is a very useful indicator and also a nice way to find the end in low light conditions for those jobs that run too late into dusk. Made in China

This is a good quality GFCI 6ft extension cord. I’ve been satisfied using it and feel this will last for more years than most similar products. My observations after using the cord: • This is obvious, but because it’s a GFCI unit and it will cut off power when a fault is detected. This is a massively important safety feature that few extension cords possess. • It’s rated for indoor/outdoor use. • It’s a medium duty cord; 14/3 15A. If you want to plug into generators, big table saws, etc. you will want heavy/extra heavy duty cords • Test button (w GFCI) is light and easy to apply and check. • I like the lighted receptacle. That will indicate if the outlet has power and protected. • The overall quality is good. It’s apparent the construction of the cord was well thought out. Nothing feels cheap on it. Overall, I see this is a good product and if you are looking for a GFCI extension cord that’s well made and will last for years this is a great choice. I recommend.

This is a really nice GFCI extension cord made by Woods that gives me a sense of safety and protection. The right angle plug has a test and reset button that work well to confirm if tripped, and protects equipment from harmful surges during use from possible shocks. To confirm power is available at the end of the 6 foot 14/3 wire capable of handling 15amps the plug glows to let you know it is functioning properly. The GFCI extension cord is very portable and easy to bring along to jobsites or various outlets around the house. Lastly, the GFCI reset button must be pressed each time power is connected for added safety.

Awesome product. We sometimes fo outside work and don’t have a GFCI outlet available. This product takes care of our GFCI needs. It is a 14 gauge cord which is a medium duty product. We won’t use this for our chip saw but it works great for many other tools such as a Cordero hammer drill. Plus we use it on our older electric pressure washer. Works great!
