Great GFCI
This GFCI is a good addition to a work bench area or a kitchen area. The right angle plug makes for a good counter profile. The cord is a good, heavy duty one. I like the power light in it to let you know if the GFCI is tripped. I would recommend this for anyone needing a shorter extension cord for a bench or counter purpose. I don't think there is anything I would improve on this.
Yellow Jacket 6 ft. 14/3 SJTW Right Angle GFCI Medium-Duty Extension Cord
This Extension makes working outside and at job site much safer. The lighted receptacle lets you know the power is on and no need to check the power box or breaker. Follow the test procedures each time you use it to be sure the GFCI is working and the tool or equipment you are using has no faults or dangers. It is rated up to 15Amps at 110V AC and uses 14/3 wire. If you cut the cord you are using the GFCI will trip and keep you from harm. The Right angle version has large head and will take up the entire outlet. That is good as it now protects whatever you are using. I like this product and recommend it’s use to stay safe.
This is my second Yellow Jack extension cord and it is just as good as the first. The bright yellow cord is 3/8 of an inch thick but is still flexible and easy to work with. When opening the package, you will want to take a few minutes and unwind/bend the cord. Then for storage, just wrap the cord in a small circle to store. The extension cord is rated a “Medium Duty” cord because of the 14/3, 15A rating, but it feels like a heavy-duty extension cord.
The GFCI housing is made from thick, durable plastic. The Test and Reset buttons are protected by a flexible, transparent rubber covering. I am not sure if the buttons are waterproof or water resistant. The GFCI Reset button needs to be pressed every time you plug in the extension cord. There is a small light between the buttons to let you know if the GFCI has been tripped. The translucent plug will glow orange letting you know there is power to the plug. I found the plug easier to see compared to the little light between the test and reset buttons.
I had no issues with running my 12-inch compound miter saw using this extension cord. If I could change anything, I would change the length of the cord. Maybe a 12-foot cord to get father away from my outdoor or hard to reach outlets. I am happy with the quality of materials and construction used in this extension cord.
Handy, Fault-proof, short extension cord. But wish it was heavy duty
This Yellow Jacket GFCI cords has several nice features. Like all Yellow Jacket products I’ve used it has an LED in the socket end of the cord that lets you know it has power. Something you’ll really appreciate once you try it. It also requires you to push the Reset button to engage the GFCI protection each and every time you plug it in. So you can’t accidently not have it set and create an electrocution situation. What I’m not too fond of is the stiff jacket on the cord. It seems like they used a cheaper grade of insulation on the cord because it really has a lot of memory and doesn’t want to lie flat. Not an issue with other Yellow Jacket cords that I’ve used. I also wish they had used 12-gauge wire and made the cord longer. 6 feet is a bit short for most situations I face. The 14-gauge wire makes it a medium duty cord. I would give it a “C+” grade overall.

Thank you for your review! We appreciate your feedback.
As I get older and wiser safety becomes a higher priority. I’ve received a few jolts and decided to do something about it. Yellow Jacket has a good ground fault circuit interrupter that fits my needs. I like that it has to be reset to get power every time you plug it in. Also the female plug end is lit when the cord is energized. Best of all it cuts the power when a frayed extension cord touches the cast iron pipe you are laying on. Definitely a worthwhile purchase.
This Yellow Jacket GFCI is welcome around my shop and especially when outdoors with the power wash.
I'm very impressed with this Yellow Jacket GFCI/DDFT Ground Fault circuit interrupter, perfect for areas that are not protected with ground fault. It is rated medium duty with 14/3 wire rated at 15 amp, the electrical receptacle also lights up to let you know it is safe. I have two main outlets in my shop in conjunction with the Yellow Jacket GFCI 6ft. cord for added safety that will cover my band saw, miter saw, jig saw and belt sander, which will be used one at a time. This Yellow Jacket GFCI Ground Fault 6ft. extension cord will be perfect for my electric pressure washer and vacuum to clean on the truck and cars as conditions are always wet, we were very lucky years ago no to get electrocuted.
The plug head on this ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) cord is just a smidgen too long to fit in my external, weather protected outlet box. That fact surprised me but I was able to use it successfully via a short extension cord. I use with the pool cleaner because whenever electricity and water and in each others company the utmost safety measures need to be employed. The cord is very well made and the large, clearly marked, buttons provide positive feedback. The illuminated plug end is another good feature.
If you’re looking for a short extension cord for a heavy-duty appliance or machine, this is a great solution. What I like:
1. 6’ length is just long enough to skirt around obstructions, but not so long as to get in the way.
2. Right-angle plug design doesn’t stick out. This design allowed me to plug the extension in behind an appliance that was tight to a wall.
3. Built-in GFCI, with 2 button test and reset feature, adds protection against personal injury or equipment damage.
4. A visible confirmation of power when the female connection is lit or that it is tripped when a neon light at the trip button is lit. User pamphlet states the GFCI will also trip when plugged into equipment that may have a ground fault.
5. Yellow color jacket helps to locate the cord in dimly lit locations.
6. The cord, plug and socket look and feel more substantive than the 14/3, 15A rating would suggest, yet the cable is flexible and can be coiled with ease. Packaging states product is made in China.
This is nice product, that I would recommend to a friend.

This is perfect! I use so many of these and most are about the same. The biggest difference in this particular unit is the cord. The 6 foot cord makes it so much better. The added 6ft allows you to use the GFCI without always needing to get another extension cord.
The 14 awg is large enough for most commercial applications.
The lighted end helps identify whether the GFCI has tripped and makes it much more visible in low light applications.
