Very well made, very strong. I employed it for a leg vise on my workbench. It was recommended by Rex Krueger. It holds wood rock-solidly, for planing. Exceeds my expectations. Buy it!

The vise screw is heavy and well made. The only questionable thing I found was that the hollow pin that holds the head onto the screw seemed like it wouldn't hold up long. I added a bolt that would just fit inside the pin and used a cap nut. Simple and inexpensive precaution. Aside from that, I'm very pleased with the quality.

The vise is a sold piece of hardware sold at competitive price by Home Depot. Shipping was fast and free, even during the pandemic when other sellers were out of stock. Once mounted on dimensional lumber, the vise grips projects well. Opening and closing is not extremely fast for long travel, but repositioning pieces of the same thickness should feel just right.
