Yes, this product is safe for that use.

It is likely that battery acid would etch the concrete, this is damage that cannot be undone. However, if there is any residual acid, Industrial Purple would neutralize and remove it. The rust penetrates the pores of the concrete, so the staining is usually deep into the concrete rather than on the surface. An acid can be used to remove rust, but it will also have an etching effect on the concrete. Calcium Lime and Rust Remover can be used as long as the etching is acceptable. It will remove surface rust and may be effective if the rust stain is very fresh/new. Before using any of these products, we recommend testing in a small, inconspicuous area first.

This product should not be used on chrome. Please see the back label for proper usage instructions and always test in an inconspicuous area before use.

Hi Steve, we wouldn't recommend using this product on your BBQ. This product is for use on heavy machinery, engines, parts, garages, construction equipment, fiberglass, unfinished concrete, masonry and asphalt. We would recommend using Zep Fast 505 Degreaser and Cleaner (ZU50532) as it is for use on metal and grills. Please see back label for proper usage instructions.

Try Zep Fast 505 Degreaser & Cleaner to remove dirt, grease, oil, and grime from "metal" plastic, and wood, when used as directed. I hope this helps. Hi, Bill! Thank you for your question. Zep Concentrated Industrial Purple Degreaser can be applied with a mop, brush, low pressure sprayer, or automatic scrubbing machine. For best results, mix 5 ounces of Zep Concentrated Industrial Purple Degreaser with one gallon of "hot" or "warm" water. Use a cotton mop of long handle shop brush to apply solution and let it sit and work for 5-8 minutes. Use auto scrubber to scrub floor scrub floor. Keep floor wet, DO NOT allow floor to dry. Use a mop or wet vac to pick up solution and rinse well with clean water. I hope this helps!

Alkaline sensitive surfaces should be avoided. In addition, multiple rinsing may be required to ensure that all detergent is removed from the coils. Zep Foaming Coil is an alternative option. When used as directed Zep Foaming Coil Cleaner, quickly penetrates soils on coil surfaces, so they loosen and flush away with condensation.
