Can the duct be reduced to 6"?
Hello Randy! Thank you for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, we do not recommend reducing the duct size as this can cause the range hood performance to diminish greatly. The duct size is an 8 inch duct to ensure that it can perform to the 700 CFM standard. Please reach out to us if you have any further questions that we can help answer!
Do I need an extension kit? For this model, two questions have been asked about 9' ceilings. One answer says it's made for 9.45' high and must be cut, another says you need an extension kit. I have 108" ceilings, which is exactly 9'. Thanks.

This model includes a one-piece chimney piece that measures 13.25" W x 11.75" D x 35.5" H and can be cut to size if needed. Will this hood work with a 10Ft ceiling? Any extensions needed?
An extension is needed for a ceiling from 10' to 12' tall.
The range hood will come with a chimney that measures 35.5" - this means that with a 10' ceiling, you would require a hood clearance measurement of 34" or higher over the range/stovetop.
