I had the unit KECOMi-36 installed (paid, not diy) but find the LED light awfully inadequate. It's like using a 20 watt light bulb when I really need a 60 watt. Could it be an installation issue ? Can I upgrade the light bulb ? Thanks.

Does this unit come with an island 'chimney' or stack to attach to the ceiling and how long? Similar to what is pictured in the ad. It shows two (2) 16" extensions come with this unit, is this correct? It shows the blower motor housing is in the 1st 16"

The hood comes with two (2) 16" chimney extensions, with the motor housing located in the first 16" section. These are telescoping chimneys, meaning the chimney height is adjustable from 21 ½” to 37” to accommodate different ceiling heights.
I would like for the bottom of the hood to be 20-21 inches from the ceiling. Is that possible with this hood and chimney?

The hood itself has a height of 5 inches, and we also offer a short chimney kit that includes two 12-inch telescoping chimney pieces. Using the short kit allows the chimney to be adjusted to achieve a placement where the bottom of the hood sits approximately 20–21 inches below the ceiling, depending on your exact ceiling height and cooktop installation. As the base of this unit is slim in size, the motor lives within the chimney and is not a remote blower unit. If you are looking for a remote blower to install in an attic, this model is available with a remote blower and the model number is, KECOMi-RD-36. Please note that remote blowers will need to be installed in a crawl space or attic, however, this installation will greatly improve range hood noise in your kitchen!
What minimum ceiling height is required to install?
