Quarter Round is used to accent the transitions from baseboard to floor surface, especially in retro fitted floors where the baseboard typically is not removed. The Quarter Round provides a subtle blend between the gap in the floor and the wall. Coordinates with hardwood flooring to provide a beautiful finished look to any room in your home.

A:  The pieces I received had a very smooth finish and would not require finishing if the color matched the surfaces you were installing against. I needed to match some stair treads, so I stained mine and applied some polyurethane.

    A:  I love the look of unfinished wood but this goes down by the floor, if you don't treat it it will stain and be difficult to clean.

      A:  If the corners are 90 degree corners, miter each of the corners 45 degrees with a miter saw.

      Great quarter round for historic home!
      I bought Zamma quarter round red oak to finish two hallways and a dining room in my historic home. Excellent product and very happy with the installation. No damaged pieces and grains in Zamma red oak look perfect in my old house. HINT: When you're going to choose a stain color, make sure you buy a small can of your choice and TRY IT on a 1-foot piece of Zamma red oak quarter round before you stain an entire batch. You may find that the stain color on Zamma quarter round red oak is different than the picture in the Minxwax catalog. Easy to attach Zamma quarter round with an 18-ga nailer, too. Highly recommend!
