Can i use this to transition to 3/4 inch oak flooring on landing step to upstairs hall?

AnswerYep,I used this as the bullnose on a whole set of steps, stained a dark walnut.Looks great with a lighter stain on the rest of the individual treads and risers.
Is it 3/4" thick at the front or back? How much wood is removed at the back? Is it intended to slip over 3/8" flooring?

AnswerWood is 3/4 inch thick at the back; Lip at front is very small, no more than 1/4 inch. Will only work with 3/4 inch thick flooring, unless you like to trip often! The manufacturer recommends cementing nosing in place- my installer used small nails, countersinking and puttying the holes; much better and very unobtrusive.

Ordered 3 lengths online and delivered to the house to use for nose molding on 6 wooden stairs. Two lengths were perfect, but the third was considerably lighter than the others; had to be careful with the oak staining used to darken the wood. It worked out alright, but I would have been happier with three identical pieces of oak. Otherwise, job went well.
