Yep,I used this as the bullnose on a whole set of steps, stained a dark walnut.Looks great with a lighter stain on the rest of the individual treads and risers.
Wood is 3/4 inch thick at the back; Lip at front is very small, no more than 1/4 inch. Will only work with 3/4 inch thick flooring, unless you like to trip often! The manufacturer recommends cementing nosing in place- my installer used small nails, countersinking and puttying the holes; much better and very unobtrusive.
