Electric fence tester
Inexpensive. Put small probe in ground and attach to wire. Light flashes. Does not measure voltage. Extremely easy to use. Only thing easier would be to touch the wire but I am not brave enough for that.

It has proven very handy for verifying good connections to know if voltage is on the fence. Indicates quickly if there is a short or open. The con is it’s hard to see in bright sunlight. Still great to have to test without getting shocked.
