Zinsser WaterTite LX Ultra Mold & Mildew Proof Waterproofing Paint is a low odor, latex-based paint designed to create an impermeable barrier to water on interior and above or below grade exterior, vertical or horizontal, concrete block and cast-in-place concrete. Premium waterproofer stops moisture from entering basement or cellar walls and stops water from exiting when applied to canals or holding basins. Modified acrylic copolymer formula provides excellent mold and mildew protection on the paint film and resists efflorescence.

This is a great product. I used it to paint the cinder block walls in my basement, which had been painted some years before I bought my house. The walls were in good shape, but the old paint was starting to peel and chip in places.
I started by cleaning the walls with a tsp solution and scraping away any loose paint. The Zinsser went on easily with roller and brush, but definitely plan on two coats. Fumes were an issue for me in a basement application without much ventilation. Recommend using a respirator. You'll want to mix it well also. A drill mixer got the job done. Five gallons was plenty for two coats in a fairly small basement.
I'm really happy with the results. My basement looks good and smells drier than it did before I began the project.

5 gallons covered 2 coats on 600 square feet of pretextured & prepainted masonry basement wall that had all cracks sealed with hydraulic water stop cement. Paint did a great job of filling in tiny holes from previous undercoat. Other prep work involved wire brushing weak spots and bleach scrubbing mold spots. Paired with a 70 pint humidifier all dampness and odor is gone. Paint odor was tolerable, never made it to main floor, and was gone from basement within 2 weeks. Job done for 1 month, several big rains since and zero moisture inside. I would recommend this product to friends and family.

So far it's worked well (3 months). We used 2 coats on the concrete walls and floor in our basement. The best solution is to address how the water is getting in, but this is a great, relatively inexpensive second option. We did use hydraulic cement on some spots on the wall before we applied this.
