Hello. Zircon does not have any information on this. We're sure an entry level stud sensor would be cheaper to buy then what it would cost you to rent a stud sensor if you can find one to rent. Thank you.
Hello Daniel. Yes, that is exactly what they are for. Check the zircon website for more information on how to correctly use the product or contact our tech support through the website. Thank you.
worked on our shower which is ceramic tile over cement board, so figuring thicker than yours
Yes, it acted alive. But it didn't work. You may have the battery in backwards.
No battery, fell for this trap after I had purchased the product. Worse, there's no way to return it after you have opened it because of the way it's packaged. It requires a 9v battery which is not that common anymore so it's expensive to buy just 1 for use with a stud finder.
No! I think this studfinder is a good deal and it works! I found wooden studs and I marked the edges of the studs so that later I could mark the middle with a pencil and hammer in my nail there then confidently hang my heavy wall art.
Thing doesnt work avoid it
It will but not consistently... You have to run it several times.... sometimes you need to run by an area where you know there is metal duct then it seems to work....at least that was what I had to do when I used it. Also if the duct is not against the ceiling, it wont detect the duct... It has to be almost hitting the finished ceiling. I cannot get it to detect metal duct with thick insulation.
Probably. Mine does the same thing. The unit is junk and does not work.
