I had to file down the old rusty threads of...
I had to file down the old rusty threads of the cleanout to get a smoother surface for the rubber ring to seal to, as would be expected. Flakey rust does not seal very well. Plug secured very nicely and easily.

The plug is a bit too big for a 4”...
The plug is a bit too big for a 4” insert. Had to insert the outside rim with a hammer and tightened in the cover as much as possible.. water still leaks out. But it’s better than metal based covers because it’s easy to remove and close with a turn of a knob.
