    Occasionally doesn't work
    Installation was straightforward. The kit includes the screws. Unfortunately, the screws are very small and soft which makes them very easy to strip. I wish the kit came with some kind of way to hide the wires - I used velcro. Beyond that, unfortunately the lights do not function properly. I try to keep the lights on warm colors (yellow, red orange) but occasionally red does not turn on. When this happens, no warm colors work which means I'm stuck with cool colors (greens and blues). Initially, I thought the unit was broken because it was defaulting to red and nothing would turn on. With no rhyme or reason, it will work and show the warm colors properly.

    Fun lighting!
    These little color changing puck lights are great! I got them so I can put a little accent light near my entertainment center. Really easy to link one light from another. The only downside for me was the length of the wires. From one puck to the other, the wires are pretty long, so I had to use twist ties to keep it from getting to messy in the back. Once I had it installed, I played with it for a while. It really is nice that there are many colors and functions, dim and bright. A nice and simple way to add a little something extra to any room.

    like that it doesn't require recharging
    I like that these pucks are wired because recharging can be time consuming and needed at an inconvenient time. There is no option to omit the remote RF portion because the lights must plug into the RF cord. For my goal, it would have been nice to just have the toggle control without the bulky RF box. I had wanted to mount these under a shelf over our bed for reading lights. So, I’d wanted the three lights to span about six feet. With the four-foot cord between each puck, the three will span a little over 8 feet. I don’t see how to shorten the cords. Plus, each puck has two cords of 24 inches wired into the led plate. I wonder if I’ll be able to remove the extra cord at the end of the chain. I’ll find another use for this set of wired pucks at bookcases in our office room because I wouldn’t like the look of the excess wires on the underside of the picture shelf over the bed for use as our reading lights. I do like that this puck set is so versatile. It will get different uses in various areas of the house during holidays. The pucks do not overheat.

    Nice little set of lights!
    The puck lights are easy to install. I ended up putting them underneath my entry way table to provide some extra light at night and also I’ll be able to use the different colors for decoration around the holidays. The dimming feature is really nice. The instruction paper could of had a bit more on the remote functions for the colors though. I’ll have to play around with it to see what all they can do. I guess the only con to me was a lot of wire for the size of the lights. If you just use three as provided in the set, you’ll have all this extra wire at the end to figure out how to hide or secure it if installing under cabinets or a table as I did. Overall it’s a good little set of lights.

    Electric Corded puck lights for Holiday displays
    I have used the battery puck lights for Halloween and other Holiday displays. Problem is that when I use the color changing or rapid flash mode, the battery goes dead way too soon.  I decided that I would use the electric corded puck lights for my displays.  I took some scrap pieces of wood and made a box for the 3 light set.  Simply drill three 2 1/2 inch holes in a piece of 1x4.  I used some scrap trim pieces for the sides.  I then inserted the 3 puck lights in place and then stapled the electric cords to the inside of the box. I now have a wooden box with three electric corded puck lights that can run all night at color changing or fast flash mode.  The box setup makes it easy to use corded puck lights for Holiday displays

    Add a custom look with this item
    You can really use these LED puck lites in a vast number of ways or places. I’d seen several people who had been using colored lighting to create a glowing effect behind their television. So, I thought I’d do my own little take on it. I positioned my puck lights behind our sound bar beneath our TV to mimic that same type of look without having to actually mount the puck lights anywhere. That way I can move them easier if I want to change the location. They are super easy to operate with a remote that is self explanatory. Pick your color, your brightness, or multiple color effect. My posted video is of the Fade effect feature. All you need is included. Even mounting hardware and extension of the cords to make this set even more flexible. Simple way to create a dramatic effect.

    Perfect Under-Cabinet LED Lighting
    I like the simplicity of the Birchlighting Multi-Color Plug-In Dimmable Color Changing Integrated LED Puck Light Kit. This kit consists of 3-LED “Pucks”, a power supply, Remote control interface box, 2- extension cables, and the remote control for the lights. The 3-LED Pucks come with a removable bezel which gives you options for either surface mounting, or drilling a 2-1/2” hole and flush mounting them. I opted to surface mount mine under a kitchen cabinet since I find that I am always lacking light in this area. The kit is super easy to install, it doesn’t include any mounting hardware, but I had perfect 1/4” long wood screws which worked great for mounting the LED Pucks to the underside of the cabinet. Then just simply plug the power supply in, run its cable to the LED controller, then use lug each of the LED pucks in. I used a few zip ties with the screw hole for mountint on the end & some electrical tape to bundle up excess cabling. This worked very well to hide all of the wires nice and tight to the underside of my cabinets. The remote includes some cool light fucnctions which allow you to chase, strobe, fade, or blink the LEDS as they scroll through all of the colors. The remote has buttons for each color which is nice, along with dimmer buttons at the top so you can set the perfect level of light you need for your application. I would highly recommend this kit? And I plan to purchase a couple more of these kits to install under all of my kitchen and laundry room cabinets! Install took about 15 minutes start to finish. Easy enough of a task for even the novice to install.

    1 of 3 didn't work straight out of the box
    This picture is directly after I took the lights out of their box. I wanted to check them to get a general idea of the length of the cord between each one, so I'd know how to take care of the extra. There is definitely a fairly long cord between each - it might be hard to "hide" the additional that you don't need, but it's also better to have too long a cord than too short! I plugged three together and into the power supply and flipped the switch, and two instantly came on. As you can see, it's the two at the ends of the connections, which means that power is most definitely passing through the second/middle light/unit, in order to get to the third. I tried unplugging and reassembling, and got the same result. Because the area that I needed to cover really does need at least 3 lights over the span, it would mean I'd have to buy an additional light or, worse yet, another set of lights just to get the 1 extra that I need. As a result, I'm not hanging these up, because 2 definitely aren't enough light for the area that I need lit. It's a shame, because these looked like a decent solution. I've had many similar lights that have all been rechargeable - let me tell ya, within an hour or so, those are dead and have to come right back down to be recharged. So the fact that these actually connect to each other, and are powered by an electrical outlet, seemed better than the alternatives. And, like most of the others that I've purchased in the past, they do feel thin and cheap, like they probably won't last long, and have an incredibly small, cheap, generic remote. I'd beware on purchases like this, and keep your receipt handy - my experience says most simply do not work.

    Really cool lights!!
    So i got these to go above our cabinets in the kitchen. They were plug and play (pun intended) and easy to understand. The lights get VERY bright, and the dim setting is low but nice. I will say that I had one issue with one of the male connectors had a bent pin. Maybe an easy fix but since I only had the 3 pucks I just put that one on the end so it didnt connect into anything. This was my reason for the 4 star but if there were no issues easily a 5 star!

    I had them put in my Glass front bookcase and it made all the difference. Only wish there was a timer that you could set it on for several hours a day.
