Where do you find the negative stars?
I have had this robot for a year and it has been the worst purchase I've mad. The robot is completely infuriating. So let's start with the price - at the given price point I should be doing maintenance on this this only when brushes or bags need to be changed. It needs weekly cleaning and troubleshooting. The regular vacuum I purchased following this purchase (due to continued requests to return, and constant emails because this robot, has literally worked less than 9 times this entire year on command) requires me to empty it once a month with once a week use. The app is flaky at best and the robot almost never responds to it. Even though my virtual assistants can get it to at least make noise. Not to mention it's loud - all the time. Loud when emptying the bin, loud when running and loud when docking. The bin never empty's as designed so I always have to manually do it, with new bags old ones or anything. I thought it may have been clogged but my new vacuum pulled nothing. Operation is so infuriating, I can't stand to use this item that was supposed the make my life easier! The mapping is awful, and if you try to fix it to help the robot, you'll spend hours to discover that the adjustment only last as long as the robot doesn't run again! When the battery gets low, it never goes back to the base and because the battery is dead I have to search and find it. My smart home is set to turn the lights on when it's scheduled to o run, to help it "see", and it still manages to not be able to find its way back. To make matters worse, the lights were set to go off when the robot redocks - luckily they still went off after an the robot died. I could go on and on about the sink hole of money you will spend on accessories, and the time you will waist troubleshooting nothing, but I would say - just don't waist your money, spend it on a Dyson or Bissell!

    Product Model AND Customer Service Need Overhaul
    Latest response as to why I still haven't received box and mailing label. I'm being asked to contact CoreCentric for an update on a repair I haven't been able to send in yet. Another "robotic" response. lol "Dear Nancy I'm contacting regarding the issue you have stated on our website in order to further investigate.       Horrible Customer Service, 3 weeks and still no vaccuum!!!
      -5 Stars if it were a option! On December 25th, 2021 I placed order# xxxxxxxx for a iRobot J7+ and on December 26th recieved a tracking number through UPS which has deemed itself worthless. This is where things go south. Today January 11,2022 I still have not received the items I paid for and have called now 6 times and spent nearly 5 hours on the phone with iRobot just trying to get the item I paid for from them. Their hold times are utterly ridiculous, have stayed on hold at one point for 1 hour and 17 minutes. Multiple times on hold so long I just had to hang up, promised phone calls in return and I get nothing, absolutely nothing. iRobot has over $700 of my money and all I can get from them is broken promises from a call center that's clearly in another country. I could care less where they are located if they could do their job and get me a resolution, some of their reps are very difficult to understand. I JUST WANT MY VACUUM OR A REFUND! This should not be hard, someone do your job I'm begging you.

        Overall Great
        Overall suction, navigation and performance is outstanding. Only reason for one less star for me is it's pattern and way it cleans some rooms is strange. See images. It crosses it's own cleaning paths and sometimes doesn't do one at all

          Unable to Start - Close the Cover
          I have 2 Roomba s9+ vacuums. One works pretty well the other had a defective lid. I sent it back for replacement. The replacement had the same problem. I would not recommend this unit, but if you already have one here is a way to fix it. Duct tape a 10 ounce weight to the cover right above the sensors under the cover. Doesn't look pretty but it solves the error, "Unable to Start Close the Lid." By looking at other reviews, this seems to be a common flaw in the product.

            Love love love my Roomba
            I constantly say the best gift I ever got was my Roomba. Received Rosie December 2020 and absolutely love her. It took a while to get her set up with the keep out zones. But that is up to the user not Rosie. When she was getting stuck under dressers that were too low I created to keep out zone. I do wish it was easier to find the locate Rosie button because every time I lose her because she has gotten stuck on some thing it's a little difficult to find her. I know it's there somewhere but I always forget where to go to find the button to push to locate. Other than that I absolutely love Rosie I don't know what I'd do without her. The best part if she has cleaned enough and you have some thing going on you can tell Rosie to go home and she'll go to her homebase. I love you Rosie.

              Corner brush loses it's bristles.
              I recently purchased the s9+ and was disappointed that on it's first mapping run it lost one of the bristle on the corner brush. I continued to use it with the one missing only to lose another one several cleanings later. I also have a 980, which I've had for a couple of years and have never lost a bristle. It doesn't seem like they are held in place very well, which will cause me to replace it even sooner than normal.

                BUYER BEWARE: The worse robot vacuum I have ever owned
                When I stumbled upon this while shopping, I impulsively (and stupidly) purchased it without checking reviews first. BIG mistake. This is by far the worse robot vacuum I have ever purchased. It rarely completes a job without getting stuck on air or imaginary obstacles. At first, I chalked this up to it was still acquiring the layout of my home. The cleaning head has already been replaced through warranty roughly 3 months after I purchased it. The roller brushes have been replaced 4 times and the corner spin brush has been replaced at least 20 times. This morning it begin making the worse noise. It sounded like a helicopter was going to take off in the kitchen. I’ve called iRobot support and the video I sent is being reviewed. It is only 7 months old. The previous models I owned NEVER required this much attention. At this point, I’d rather sweep my house with a toothbrush. I’d probably finish the job quicker and with less of a headache. I have little faith that the issue will be resolved. Honestly, iRobot should scrap this entire model and start over. What I am hoping the resolution to my issue turns out to be is they take back this piece of garbage they call the s9+ and give me a comparable model that actually does what it is supposed to do.

                  Great Vacuum
                  This is a huge improvement over my old Model i980. The S9+ Works awesome the Suction is fantastic. I send it out ever nite @ Midnight to clean other then getting stuck on a stupid blanket that a edge piece hangs off of it and gets caught around the rollers it works flawless, so with that it's not the vacuums fault, it completes a job every time. I would recommend this vacuum all day long to friends and family. Setup was so easy to do it just took a few minutes to do and it was ready to go. I have mostly all hard wood floors in my living room, kitchen is Vinyl flooring, the bathroom is tile. it does a great job across all floors. But in the bathroom I have a mat in front of the bathtub and another in from of the toilet,. I had to use carpet tape to stick them down because my old i980 would to get the one in front of the toilet caught in the rollers, and that was in the middle of the mat and not the edge, so you can imagine if I didn't do that the S9+ would destroy it. When it empty's itself it's no louder then a full size vacuum and it's a ly for a few seconds, the 1st nite it vacuumed it emptied itself twice while vacuuming, but now it's once per nite, so the floors the 1st nite must have been really dirty. So far the bag is not close to getting full and I have a Yellow Lab and it's nowhere near full yet, and the price of bags aren't too bad compared to my old stand up vacuum which was over $20 for one bag. I bought the vacuum 04/26/21 and it's now 05/11/21 no problems yet and I don't expect any, I'm very happy with the purcgase
