This flag holder looks great and performs well. I recently bought a new flag pole that is 1" D round and it fits snuggly in the holder with no movement. My last pole was 3/4" D and it definitely would have needed a threaded hole for a thumb screw to keep it from jiggling around as other people have suggested. However, my new 1" pole is stable and very securely held in place. This holder is solid brass, high-quality, well-made and looks fantastic!  It comes with screws included to mount, is rust-resistant and comes with a 10 year warranty. I am proud to hang my American flag with this beautifully made, classy holder!

Just in time for Independence Day celebrations. This new, bright and shiny Brass flag pole holder was just what I needed. I even had a new flag pole on hand for the day I planned to upgrade my flag pole holder. Thus unit is quite heavy so I had to pre-drill all of the screw holes prior to installation. Thad helped also to make sure it was installed as level as possible. Quality of construction, including a hole on the back to secure the actual pole in place. I did not use the extra hole as I take the flag in at night. I am very happy with the overall quality and the fact that it is solid brass, nickel plated. When it caught the reflection of the new flag, it even looked monochromatic. I love to fly the flag on every occasion, so this was a welcome addition to my home.

This is a terrific flag pole holder. I can't wait to replace my old, rusty one. This holder is very strong and good looking. There is no way it could bend like my old one. You cannot go wrong getting this. This holder fits a flag pole that is one inch in diameter. My pole is three-quarter inch in diameter and fits perfectly with no wiggle. I just love it!

This solid brass flag pole holder is so much better than many of the ones I've seen. It is very heavy and the bright nickel finish has no flaws. It won't rust and I believe the three screws included will hold it securely. I will be using an aluminum flagpole and this holder will be more than sufficient to secure it. Great quality and I would recommend it.

I have similar ones in Cast Iron and they are glazed in a black enamel. I figured Solid Brass, covered in Nickel, would be much more elegant ... and these are!
Problem is ... I do not like the 'Built-in hole for an optional nail'. It should be threaded and have a thumb screw (see pic). Hammering and removing nails from something screwed to a wall does not make sense. When a windstorm is coming, I take my flags down (so they [flag, mount, or siding] do not get ripped from the house). A thumb screws makes it real simple. No tools needed. Also, a thumb screw holds the pole tight. Otherwise, the pole rattles, and it sounds like critters are crawling in the walls. Also disappointing, mine has pockmarks in the Nickel (see pic). Being Brass underneath, I do not have to worry about rust, but for the 'premium' description and price, I expected better.
I would recommend this to someone who puts up a flag twice a year (4th of July and Veterans Day). It will look great the other 352 days ... but for someone like me, who leaves them up all year, and it is mounted to my house, a thumb screw is a must!
