Looking for towel bar to fit over cabinet doors in kitchen primarily over door open to under sink.

Yes, it worked on mine. Fits nicely. Has a little rubber on inner tab to prevent slippage.

Do you recommend this for a 15" cabinet door?

It will fit a 15" door only if door has no handle or the handle is mounted 2" or below to give the bar clearance.

I used this rod with a slat wall to organize the lids for my pots and pans. Worked perfectly for the larger lids. I was able to purchase a smaller 5" rod in a competitors store to see if it would work for the smaller lids. When it did I found these 14" rods online at the Home Depot. Ordered them they arrived quicker than expected in excellent shape. They worked perfectly for the larger lids. Great way to organize in my small kitchen!
