Shenoa- Our adhesive liners are made of PVC vinyl, so they can only withstand very low heat. We would not recommend using the liner near an open heat source.

The adhesive used for this liner is "water based" and sensitive to moisture. Also, the liner is vinyl and could be affected by exposure to the sun. Can I use this on the outside of my oven and dishwasher? In other words is this contact heat resisitant?
Shouldiask - Con-Tact Brand self adhesive liner will work on the outside of your dishwasher. However, it would not be recommended for the outside of your oven. Con-Tact Brand adhesive liners are not "heat resistant". Thank you for your interest in Con-Tact Brand adhesive liners.
Would this work as a backsplash behind the stove?
Paula, It would work as a back splash as long as the following conditions are met: 1.) The surface the liner is being mounting the liner on is clean, dry, and smooth. 2.) It is not placed too close to heating elements or gas burners. It the liner is placed too close to heat and cooking burners, the liner will be affected in a negative way. 3.) The liner is placed away from high moisture areas. The adhesive on CON-TACT BRAND shelf liners is water soluble and therefore it would not work in areas where there is high moisture.
