can this be used with 12 volt current
No, this bulb is designed for 120V and won’t work with a 12V power supply. It won’t light up properly, and we recommend using a 12V-compatible LED bulb instead.
How do you claim the five-year warranty if the bulb fails within the first year?
Limited Warranty: Guaranteed to last 5 years based on 3 hours use per day, 7 days per week. If this bulb does not last 5 years after date of purchase (based on 3 hours per day / 7 days per week) due to a defect in materials or workmanship, please bring the 3-pack and a receipt indicating proof of purchase to any Home Depot store. The Home Depot will provide a replacement or, at our discretion, a store credit for the value of the original purchase price. This warranty will be voided for misuse of product per the caution statement.
Am I supposed to remove the plastic piece around the base of the chandelier light bulb because online I’ve seen not to remove it and also yes remove it.
No, please do not remove. This is a safety feature recommended by United Laboratories (UL) to accommodate variations in chandelier designs.
Why isn't it clear in your packaging / instructions to leave that plastic piece in place????? That is sooo irresponsible of the manufacturer to not state that on the box somewhere. If you don't keep the plastic piece on the bulb, it could cause a hazard

Yes, you can still use dimmable LEDs if you don’t have a dimming switch (or fixture) installed. These bulbs will work at 100% output and they will work just as efficiently as if they were being used with dimmable switches/fixtures.
