I intend to return this item for a replacement; however, I am very hesitant to proceed because Home Depot does not offer pickup for items of this size and weight. This is a very heavy rug, and transporting it back to the store would be extremely difficult. The reason for the return is that the rug appears to be defective. There is a section where the wool is coming apart/unraveling, which is not something I would expect from a new rug. I want to emphasize that I am not suggesting that the rug is poorly made or that the overall quality is an issue. It appears that something may have happened to this particular rug during manufacturing, handling, or shipping that caused this section to come apart. I would prefer a replacement rather than a refund, but given the size and weight of the rug, I would greatly appreciate it if Home Depot could arrange pickup of the defective item rather than requiring me to transport it myself.

Hi,
Thank you for reaching out and we are so sorry to hear about this experience with your rug. It sounds like a defect possibly caused in transit or manufacturing somehow. You will need to contact Home Depot's customer service to arrange a return so that you can re-order for a non-defective rug. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy your new rug.

LOVE

i was a little skeptical on getting it because some of the reviews were a little iffy, but i’m so glad i did. the color goes so well with almost any piece of furniture and it is so soft to walk on. it also didn’t come with any marks or imperfections! really exceeded my expectations

Color is much lighter than

I bought the ivory mocha color and it’s much lighter than shown. It has more white in it and has a white trim. But other than the color I am very happy with this rug. Very nice quality.

Feels great but smells

I’m super pleased with this rug it had no piling and was delivered rolled and securely packed. The only reason it doesn’t have five stars is its strong chemical smell when you unwrap it. It’s slowly going away but takes a few days. Super soft and a good weight.

Hi,
Please be advised that our rugs are safe and any odor coming from the rugs is harmless. Please see below for most effective methods for resolving a rug odor issue.
One effective method is to use baking soda. Here’s how you can do it:

Sprinkle Baking Soda: Generously sprinkle baking soda over the entire surface of the carpet. Make sure to spread it out evenly to create a thin coat.

Let It Sit: Allow the baking soda to sit for several hours, or even overnight if possible. This will give it time to absorb any odors trapped in the fibers of the rug.

Keep the Area Clear: During this time, it's important to keep pets and children away from the treated area to ensure safety and effectiveness.

Vacuum: After the baking soda has had time to work, vacuum it up thoroughly. Be sure to monitor your vacuum cleaner bag or canister, as baking soda can fill it quickly.
