A:  Your concrete subfloor needs to be within the tolerances for flatness and moisture as outlined in the installation guidelines. We then recommend a high-quality moisture barrier system prior to gluing the floor down. The moisture barrier which is usually roller applied stops migration of water into the hardwood flooring. A:  Hi TamiRebekah, You can use a moisture resistant underlayment if you are more comfortable with doing so. You can also glue directly to the concrete slab if you are using an adhesive that has a moisture barrier in it.
