This floor can be installed over existing vinyl tile, as long as the existing flooring is a single layer of non-cushioned flooring, fully glued down, clean and free of waxes and polishes, and is flat and smooth. Any texturing will need to be smoothed over with S-194 Patch, Underlayment & Embossing Leveler mixed with the S-195 Underlayment Additive. You also will want to make sure the seams of the new floor are not lined up above the seams of the old tile. A:  I have put peel and stick tile on top of peel and stick tile in the past and it lasted for many years. In fact the surface of the tile became worn after many years but the tile adhesion remained intact.

If your washer and dryer don't move with your current flooring they will not move on this flooring. Washing machines typically only move when they are out of balance or out of level. A:  We haven't noticed that it is particularly slippery. Our dog finds it more slippery when she jumps of the bed (compared to carpet). It is very durable.
