A: Hi there, thanks for the question, When painting with our Marquee Exterior Paint, You don't have to use a separate primer because the paint has a built-in primer. Keep in mind that the first coat of paint will act as the primer coat, so multiple coats of the paint will probably be needed. Have a great day! -Ronald

Q:Can this paint be used to paint a metal quonset?
by|Jul 9, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hi Jipp, thanks for the question. You can use our Marquee Paint for painting over the vertical areas of the Quonset, but it wouldn't be recommended for the roof. Also if the metal is smooth, it would need to be etched or scuff-sanded prior to painting. For the roof, you could use our Multi-surface Roof Paint, prior to painting the roof, it would need to be primed first with our Interior/Exterior Multi-Surface Stain-Blocking Primer & Sealer before applying the paint. Have a great day! -Ronald

Q:Can this paint be used on a porch floor?

Answer This Question
A: Hi Ti, thank you for your question. As it turns out, we do not recommend our Marquee Paint for surfaces that will be walked on as it's not foot traffic safe. I recommend using our Porch & Patio Floor Paint instead. It will provide the decorative qualities of traditional paint with the protection of a floor coating. Have a great day! -Lina

Answer This Question
A: Hi Mike, thanks for your question. I apologize for any confusion on our label, but I'm happy to provide an explanation. Our Marquee Exterior deep base No. 5453 does have less product inside the container to allow room for colorant to be added. This base requires colorant before application; up to 3 ounces of colorant goes into this base to get the correct color and amount of paint. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to us directly. Enjoy the rest of your day! -Christina
