A: This is a very old question. You don't connect the drill to the battery charger. It is the battery you connect to the drill. When the battery power runs low or out, then slide the battery off the equipment and slide the battery on to the charger and visa versa. Da!

A: It is possible that you have a bad battery that will not fully charge. Check the voltage of the battery with a volt meter to see if it indicates the proper output voltage. It also might be a fault in the charger, so try charging several different batteries to see if the same thing occurs with all of them.

A: If it’s still under warranty I would definitely contact B&D. If it’s not under warranty you might take it to the equipment rental department at Home Depot. Sometimes they can assist with battery issues. I took a Ryobi battery there and they tested it for me with no fee. Good luck!

A: While I have no experience trying this with a Dewalt battery, I would doubt it will work. From what I’ve seen, the chargers and batteries are all proprietary to their own brand, and not interchangeable.

A: If your connections match it will. I purchased the wrong one at first. Look at the connections on your battery this is for a 20 volt.
