Answer This Question
A: Not sure about this one particularly but, from experience these are pressed together at the seams and are fairly tight but usually require some form of silicone or sealant to make it 100% watertight.

Answer This Question
A: Common household products like Comet, mineral spirits, and chlorine bleach can all be used to prepare galvanized steel for painting. After completing the first step, rinse the surface area sufficiently with water to prepare for the next step. It too is simple. You’ll want to slightly etch or roughen surface chemically. This isn’t a complex step either. Simply rag on white vinegar and allow it to dry. The surface is now ready for primer and then paint. I would use a metal priming paint. Easy to apply when it’s in a prepackaged aerosol spray can. ~All available at Home Depot with maybe the exception of white vinegar.
