A: this cap attaches to the top of the chimney, it needs to fit over the flues, yet still on the top of the crown. it attaches with adhesive and a couple masonry screws

Q:What is the height of the chimney cap? The specs has it as 4inch. I thought the minimum height was 8inch and you have 10 & 12 inch options.
