A: I used it with water and it helped a little bit but you need another person to pour water when you cut becuz its hard to cut with one hand and pour water with your other hand by yourself.

A: Most definately - as a test I tried to cut the 1/4" ceramic tile without watering the blade and it didn't cut. Use a squirt bottle and keep the blade wet.

A: Thank you for your question. The T130DG is a diamond grit blade for clean cutting in hard tile. This blade should work for cutting soapstone. It is good for cutting grade 5 porcelain, granite, marble, slate, glass and cement board, 3/64" - 1/2". This blade should be cooled with water, so be certain to use only with GCFI-protected outles or adapters or with a cordless jigsaw. You can use this blade for gradual curved cutting.

A: I worked real easily on 7/16 Marble. I would think soapstone would be ok depending on the thickness.

A: That depends a lot on your skill with a jigsaw. I am just tolerable, so I get ok edges for hidden edges. For visible edges I finish with a glass grinder and then diamond polishing pads; but, I am trying to produced polished edges for a counter top.
