A:  Hi there - we’re glad you reached out! For built-in cooktops, there is a minimum distance from the cutout to the front of the countertop (for example 2.5”). For this rangetop model, it is designed to hang from the countertop from its side flanges. The front of the cabinet is open. A:  Greetings, Thanks so much for your question. According to the specs sheet, there should be a minimum of 18" from the bottom of cabinet, to the top of the cooktop.
