Q:If I currently have a drop in 36 inch cooktop, is it possible to replace with the GE caf model that has the knobs in the front without breaking the lip of the quartz countertop?

Answer This Question
A: Hi there - we’re glad you reached out! For built-in cooktops, there is a minimum distance from the cutout to the front of the countertop (for example 2.5”). For this rangetop model, it is designed to hang from the countertop from its side flanges. The front of the cabinet is open. To determine if this would work for your kitchen, see page 9 of the Installation Instructions for an illustration of the required countertop opening: https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/b5/b530bf64-a157-4a4c-a7c2-78316a7500d0.pdf -- We hope this is helpful and please feel free to reach out anytime with additional questions. All the best! Lauren@Café

Q:How do I order brushed bronze knobs for the 36? inch gas cooktop? I don?t see a separate item listed that is just the 6 knobs needed. I can only find them along with the handle for the range which we wouldn?t need?

Q:What is the proper height for a 1200cfm hood for this rangetop

Answer This Question
A: Greetings,
Thanks so much for your question. According to the specs sheet, there should be a minimum of 18" from the bottom of cabinet, to the top of the cooktop. This can also be used for a vent hood being installed above the cooktop. https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/2a/2a8c763b-d9bc-445d-a55e-e2ace5ed264d.pdf.
