A: You can bring the grains out dramatically in this wood with a clear shellac, purchasable off the shelf at Home Depot. How beautiful varies from piece to piece since it’s real wood veneer. If you want to choose a special piece with grain pattern that fits your ideal, then you’ll need to find a local hardwood store that caters to woodworkers and simply ask to look at their cherry plywood.

A: Hello Oly,
Thank You for your purchase of the ½ in. Cherry in the past – I’m glad to hear that it worked well for your wood block print. I really do not have a recommendation for you on the beautiful grain material you are in need of. All of our material has visible grain but it’s not textured enough to transfer the grain to a paper. Thanks for the inquiry.

A: The grain patterns were beautiful. That being said, as a natural product, you can never be absolutely positive every piece will look this good.

A: This cherry 1/2” plywood was not available at the local store so had to order it. It arrived in great shape.

A: Hello Tahoe,
Your local store will not have the ½” 2ft. x 4 ft. Cherry panel in stock. The product is sold online only. The ½” Cherry is a higher grade of Hardwood Plywood than the Birch panel that is stocked in the store. The Cherry is a B grade Plywood and the Birch is a C grade plywood. It should work well for the projects you have in mind. Thank You for the inquiry.

Answer This Question
A: A A/C 3/4 inch RTD plywood would be great for floors.

A: Hello,
Hardwood Plywood like 1/2 in. 2 ft. x 4 ft. Cherry Plywood is not designed to be used in a floor application. Decorative Hardwood Plywood is designed to be used in cabinets, furniture and built-ins. The plywood has a thin face veneer of cherry that is not thick enough to withstand the wear and tear of a floor application. Thank You for your inquiry.

A: I'm not sure I understand your question, but plywood would not be suitable for flooring. If you are talking about sub-flooring that goes underneath the final, top floor, Advantech is the best.

A: This product is NOT suitable for floors.

A: Buy Advantec if you want plywood for subfloor. Also buy their glue product and use it as directed. Home Depot might sell it.
Do not buy plywood if you want birch plywood as finished flooring. That is a bad idea and you will regret it.
